In 2008, a mod for the video game Star Wars: Jedi Knight Jedi Academy was released called Knights of the Force. It was intended as an expansion pack/total conversion for the game, offering players the ability to explore all the various maps of the game and fight against or be hundreds of characters from across the Star Wars Saga. That mod however has long since ended development, yet it has inspired us, a new mod team, to come and fulfil the goals of that original mod and bring it to a new generation of Jedi Academy players. Our goals are to let players create their own Star Wars battles, playing and fighting against numerous characters ranging from all three trilogies, Rogue One, Star Wars Rebels, and even characters from the old Legends Continuity across many maps set in the Star Wars universe. Players will be able to use hundreds of various lightsabers and weapons from the films and fight across various maps of locations from the films. We may not be the controversial creator of the original KOTF mod, TimFx, but we nonetheless hope to bring the goals of what the original mod was suppose to be in this spiritual successor/continuation of the original Knights of the Force mod. Knights of the Force is Reborn!

Every time I update the mod it won't start after that anymore. Then I have to reinstall the mod. kinda annoying… Any suggestions how to fix that? Thx in advance

Delete the 2 kotf exe files and kotf_engine.pk3 then re-run the updater.

Is there a way to change the players team in multiplayer, like the singleplayer menu has light and dark side?

Me and some others were wanting to play around creating scenes/missions against each other. We can use NPC Spawn, and check the NPC files to spawn in whoever we want.

But to make them hostile is more difficult. I know I can change team_player to team_enemy and vice versa. But I assume this makes them hostile to everyone. (Or can I have it one way on my pc, the the others have it the other way?)

I think you'll need to play on team free for all mode.

Sorry the 2nd message went to approval: By "change team_player to team_enemy" i mean in the NPC file. Tried the playerteam cheat but MP doesn't recognise it

But that means I can't just change the playerteam in multi.
But it has to have some effect somewhere because only the bad guys attack still?

Try playing on TFFA mode, that's my only guess.

Just a few questions relating to the future (Although I'm already amazed by this mod, and I've been playing it for months)

-Will there be an unhooded, masked skin for Kylo Ren?
-Will we be able to save what we create as custom missions/levels? So like a separate menu for maps with custom npc layouts that we've made.
-Will there be an over-the-shoulder view option?
-Would Pong Krell w/ dual saberstaffs be possible? (just curious about that one)

-Will there be an unhooded, masked skin for Kylo Ren? Yes, next update.
-Will we be able to save what we create as custom missions/levels? So like a separate menu for maps with custom npc layouts that we've made. You can save your game and share those save games with your friends if that's what you're asking.
-Will there be an over-the-shoulder view option? We have a camera angle menu, so I'll say yes.
-Would Pong Krell w/ dual saberstaffs be possible? (just curious about that one) Possible, yes. But we need a Pong Krell model first.

Only thing is, when we use save games, we can't add NPCs, and dismemberment doesn't seem to work. It also disallows cheats. Also, the camera angle thing doesn't seem to allow for over-the-shoulder. These are honestly just nitpicks though. This is a phenomenal mod.

Dismemberment doesn't work? Impossible. Dismemberment was fixed with our first patch, make sure your mod is updated.

I like very much this mod but unfortunately it's not finished or done yet.
