Unzip and load the wad. Works on Boom Family such as Crispy, PrBoom+ and Zdoom 2.8, LZDoom and GZDoom, Odamex, Zandronum. Works with All Doom or Freedoom IWADS and any Doom map.

4/17/22-- Big update. Expanded Zdoom support with extra goodies compatible with Zandronum and Zdoom 2.8 with Added Splashes and Flamethrower flames. Removed Color Palette, but can be found under Kal'sPal addon at ModDB if desired for use. Still fully compatible with Boom source ports as a vanilla gun skin mod and new explosion animations( very vanilla looking still) and new Rocket sprite via Freedoom.
This is a simple Weapons skin type mod, but with added flavor of sound effects on guns and Duke noises to replace Doomguy noises. Contains Title Music Grabbag theme, Intermission theme, Duke Player Skin, Duke Mugshot via TerminestEst13 at DeviantArt dot com, Kal'sPal color palette, FreeDoom status bar and a couple sounds.

i will say, this sure is the vanilla like experience. i'm glad that the barrels aren't from the Duke mod this stuff is based off of. cause i've seen some people try & make the weapons work with vanilla Doom. but they've always left in the explosive barrels from the mod. often to big and just are sprites that turn into the normal Doom barrels when exploding. i do have 1 curious question though. is it possible to have a version of this mod, without the color palette stuff that was added onto this?
Yes actually. I can do a version easily, or you can edit the wad yourself in Slade removing the playpal and color map files. Which ever is easier honestly. Removing those files does not break the mod at all.
And yeah, I just wanted a vanilla duke gun skin mod + voice basically. Nothing super fancy.
