Increased Visibility v1.2
Full VersionInstaller v1.2
This mod increases the visual range for all squads and entities. Squads have their vision range doubled, while buildings are tripled.
It doesn't seem cool that enemy squads generally aren't visible until within weapon range. I believe that allowing the players to see and respond to enemy movement introduces a tactical element. The range of visibility is still limited, making scouting squads much more effective. Screenshots will also be more attractive without so much fog of war.
This mod does not replace any game files, and will work with any content (eg user-created races).

good mod. bit unfair for anyone vs tau, with their huge weapon ranges.
The whole idea of the limited visibility in the first place is to make people think more strategically and place their units where possible threats might come from or move them to a place where they can relay info to others like The pathfinder in the Tau army.
cool
That does sound a lot cooler. Being able to see further can allow for much better tactical movement. I hate how I usually don't know where the enemy is until it's already attacking my furthest outpost. Pleh.
So, how does this work exactly? Does it run separate or with the whole game itself?
