The goal of this mod is to bring back the units from the original Homeworld into the Homeworld 2 engine, with high quality texture and polycount detail. The campaign and animatics from the original game will also be included.

I agree with you, though I pretty much dislike it but is it possible to recreate it properly?
I mean it's role as an Projectile destroyer.
As i noticed in HW there's a blue bar that get a bit depleted after each projectile it destroys.
I actually don't know if it can be recreated properly because i never played with it... but HHU has it, don't know if working correctly or not.

It burns fuel every time it shoots down a projectile?
no that blue bar is fuel which the fighter uses up as it moves.

I guess i missed that one, but it's not far from it, just the semi spheres goblins i added on the sides should be inward and lacks a few antennas on top.
the details on the engine are needed there otherwise it would be just a simple strait line upwards.
you can get it to shoot down missiles i cant remember how but i remember you can do it. just do that with a toned down lance beam and it will be very usefull against vaygr
...or against missile destroyers!
