That is due to the God Rays being implemented. No worries. The rest of us thought the same thing. We are going to definitely tone it down, and add an option to disable it.

It was made amazing in 2004... now... it's... not? There's literally no sky texture now. And crepusculars for sure do not work like that, unless the sun exploded right now.
