Finally I'm back with a new version. Life became busy for me these last few months, so sorry, but I finally had the time/willpower to make a new update, it's mostly bugfixes, but there's some balance changes/features as well.
###Version 7.0###
- Added in the "Save the Nation" modifiers from IGoR_puir-9.0.5, these help countries on the brink of defeat to have a comeback mechanic. Most useful for multiplayer games
- Added in a "Hard Mode AI" in the additional options decisions list, this will add in the triggered modifiers to help the ai manage it's tariffs.
- Nerfed the Autocracy National Value to help reduce Russian/Ottoman stability a bit.
- Made % of population supporting Jingoism not matter for adding wargoals, doesn't seem to affect the AI much and it is better for multiplayer and players who want to purse multiple wargoals in one war.
- Made Austria much more likely to join a greater Germany if its a vassal of Germany.
- Added localization for Accepting Afro Brazilians
- Decreased the cost of building a supply depot because its often destroyed in rebellions
- Made releasing vassals give more infamy reduction, equal to how much they give in Vanilla
- Fixed not being able to build railroads in other countries via Foreign Investments
- Fixed a bug that allowed USA players to reduce their infamy to zero. This bug was done by annexing then releasing Canadian minors over and over again to reduce infamy as the USA.
- Fixed a bug with the AI not building forts because of the province selector
- Integrated parts of the mod "HPM Politics & Economy Patch 3.0" by Xylephone. I like the good research and thought he's put into making the HPM starting reforms and national values more diverse and interesting.
- Tweaked the amount life rating affects growth, and the immigration scale so there should be more immigrants into the New world and the old world population should grow enough to compensate for this increased emigration. The goal of this was to get populations to be pretty historical for AI's around 1900. To hit this goal the USA needed more immigrants and growth, but the old world also needed growth to compensate for the increased amount of people that emigrate from them now into the new world.
- Fixed the colonial policies, they should now actually do what they say and increase migration into your colonies with settlement or civilizing.
- Added Franz Joseph I as a modifier for Austria and Austria-Hungary, since he was an important figure of the period, and to help keep these 2 tags relatively stable and not have massive emigration which was draining their population in my testing.
- Made the Statue of Liberty like how it works in vanilla, its now a permanent buff unless the USA falls into dictatorship.
- The closed borders immigration policy now shouldn't prevent pops from moving around within their own nation.
what happened to all the minor nations? Baltic states? Finland? West African kingdoms & Somallia? Japan now starts as a single nation? Did I miss something?
Hmm, you might be launching vanilla or something, those should still be in the game. Some might be gone in the 1861 start date, but for 1836 they should all be there.
hey im suffering from the same problem. i made sure to lauch the mod and only the mod, but the vanilla map keeps appearing. i still havent tested to see if hpm's systems/ events are working but i don't think the vanilla map should be appearing.
Found the problem. The .mod file is directing to the wrong location, you need to rename the HPMP folder from HPMP7.0 to HPMP_7 and it solves the issue.
thanks for the fix, I must have missed that
i'm kinda sad the chinese-russian borders remake in central asia wasn't added in this patch.
you can add the provinces in the Peking Convention event so Russia can get them the same way they get outer manchuria.
I’ll look into adding them for the next one, the problem I had when I tried to awhile ago was a lot of the time Russia needed to fight 2 wars to acquire them both if the Qing refused, and a lot of the time they wouldn’t do that, so you’d end up with one or the other in Russian hands, but not both usually.
The map is not loading
Hey, the foreign railroads arent fixed at all :(
hmmm ok ill look into it, I got it to work at one point before releasing, but maybe it somehow got messed up again.
its really rare, you can invest in some provinces and in other you cant, if you could please fix it, i use foreign investments a lot to get countries on my sphere, otherwise it is harder, and I also like soft imperialism
Ok, I think I was able to fix it this morning, I’ll be updating the GitHub with the fix so you can use that if you want to fix immediately, otherwise it’ll be in the next version on here.
It had to do with building order in the code for buildings and was messed up because of the province selectors addition. Think I have it all actually fixed now.
Before it let you invest in a province if a naval base and a railroad could theoretically be built.
Now it should just be if a railroad can be built
