This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

Description

Presentation of US Army infantry. All the uniforms were reworked together with gear and insignia for ranks. There are standard models for infantry squad and examples of specialized characters.

On top: sergeant, rifleman, BAR gunner, rifleman with HBT uniform, radioman (yeah the radio is barely visible from front but you see it on Omaha level)
Second row: army medics in HBT and standard uniform, NCO in winter tanker jacket, and two sappers from 5th Special Engineers Brigade - you meet them on Omaha Beach destroying the anti-tank hedgehogs

The jackets are used by Rangers too, but they also need the assault vest model done so they will come a bit later.

Standard US Army uniform in 1944 was M1941 jacket in color that was called Olive Drab #3, which was light green with sand-yellow tint. After long time in sun this color could subside, giving the bleached khaki-like look. Due to game's color palette they look more tan or beige, but it should be remembered that original color was definitely olive-green type.

Second type of attire was HBT uniform, which had so called sage green color - it also could lose it's color in the sun quickly, but at least for some time it gave slightly better camouflage in european foliage, which was the reason some soldiers preferred to wear it over their uniform jacket and pants. HBT uniforms were also worn alone on hotter summer days.

After Normandy, in late 1944 the US forces got new M1943 uniforms, which were greatly reworked, were more resilient, had bigger pockets, and came in darker green color (OD#7). They will be added to Spearhead for Bastogne campaign. Maybe if it will be possible to hex-edit .bsp files they could also be introduced to mission 6 level with proper winter attire; but so far in AA only older type of uniforms will be there for now.
