This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.

Hey iv'e got a question. Did you cut them in the recent update?, as it the checkpoint before the railway line, the guard is replaced with a SS soldier?

Hi, sorry for late reply, I don't know why but moddb doesn't send notifs about comments under images...

They weren't cut, it's simply that they were never there:) In original game the soldier who stands in guard box in that railroad mission in just plain Waffen SS soldier. In recent release I think that mission doesn't have the spawns adjusted and just randomizes every soldier, in new version I have certain NPCs set to appear with pre-set models so it will be possible to set Feldgendarmerie soldiers there, I'll just need to make SS version of them.

As for original game, the FG is used in missions 2 (m2l1) and 6 (m6l2a and m6l2b), now I also added them with random chance to appear in other outside missions, and I'm also planning to make the basic variant with no trenchcoat for inside buildings

Also Glad that they were around, Atleast I think maybe, could be wrong, In the Kriegsmarine mission, along with Regualer Soldiers in Grey Trenchcoats!

Yeah this is the only mission where devs actually did add them in bigger numbers, they're there as patrol guards and also spawn attacking you when you man the mounted MG42.
Now in new version I also set them as the gate guards in first section, where you fight them with Major Grillo

Description

Feldgendarmerie is name for military police in Germany. Although primarily employed to ensure discipline in army units, in WWII they were also given occupational duties and worked closely with the secret police.
More so, their practices of detaining marauders and suspected deserters were often very brutal, which quickly made them hated by their own military personnel too, who called them "Kettenhunde" (chained dogs), for their "sniffing" practices and the fact their gorget was worn on neck held by chain.

In game they were not portrayed with gorget or any insignia, but the name of character model (_hundpatrol) points that it was probably supposed to be Feldgendarmerie.
Whether devs intended that or not, now they are properly added, currently in variation wearing so called Kradmantel, which was rubberized olive-green coat often worn by motorcycle troops (in-game Kradschutzen). The coat texture is taken from Kradschutzen model and is mostly unchanged, just resized to HD; Feldgendarmerie shoulder boards and chain gorget were added.

The original Kradschutzen model was resized too and was given shoulder boards of that branch (very similar, just slightly different color).
