Hey Im not sure if this thread is still frequented by the author. But I see someone requested this wad without the effects. I actually like the effects but my request is there a way to have this mod with just the effects and lighting only? While leaving sprites dehacked / disabled for compatibility with other mod stacks?

Sorry, I posted this as a guest already - but I wanted to know if this mod is compatible with the Deathknights of the Dark Citadel expansion pack?

Hey I may not be the author but I can tell you that yes its compatible. I played it myself using this exact remaster. Although I will warn its not completely 100% as the base but the differences are so meniscal youll barely notice.

zhokui1 there should be a settings file you can edit to change monsters health, may be able to change weapon damage in there as well?

Can you make a HEXENREMADE.WAD file without the particle FX? Like the Heretic mod my frame rate drops significantly with the particles. I am using a Ryzen 9 3900x with an RTX3070. Heretic HD PBR runs smoothly without the WAD file but has issues with brightness a stalagmite that is missing and replaced with Raven's "insert sprite here" sprite. With this mod the WAD is required as the lighting file is in it and I can't edit WAD file as SLADE always crashes when I try to open any WAD file.

Thanks. I still get frame drops at random times. However, it can run at 165fps in combat in a large area and tank in a simple corridor with no action, or when I open a door. I don't know what the problem is, but without the effects, it performs much better.

Hello. Thank you for creating this improvement mod. However, I would like to point out that the Cleric's Firestorm has become a lot weaker compared to vanilla Hexen.

In the normal Hexen, Ettins can be killed in one shot 90% of the time using Firestorm, Afrits are killed 95% of the time in one shot, and Chaos Serpents can be killed in 2 shots. However, many times, it's taking times 3 Firestorm shots to kill them. I have been playing Cleric for 13 years and I know how the Cleric balance and gameplay works so I know that there is something off.

I tested it without the mod in GZDoom, and I tried it on Doomsday and Zandronium and I can confirm something is wrong. Can this be fixed?
