Disables enemy respawn and let's you use all weapons from all classes at once (cycle with number keys or NextWeapon hotkey, scrollwheel)
I'm not the author of these mods, this is a mere collection included in a plug-and-play single ZIP archive. It includes these separate mods in a single package and gzdoom settings INI file:
- Hexen Veteran: play all classes at once (all weapons available, it seems like only Cleric final weapon is available, no big deal since it's the best of them anyway, each weapon uses its own mana pool for whatever reason)
- Disable Respawn (script 255)
- Deathkings Music Fix
- Hexen Rebalanced Beta (weaker enemies for faster game flow, less annoying Centaurs)
- MonsterScouter mod for enemy and bosses HP bars
- MIDI soundfont for classic Win95 sound General MIDI
- INI text file for using the same gzdoom settings I use emulating 640x480 in big window (shown in the video footage) Basically you will have the original colorful graphics as the game was intended and designed for, except you have Dynamic Lights for items in dark areas, torches and monster projectiles, eye candy.
- included is stock gzdoom 4.5.0 (recommended version to keep around... one of the main reasons is it gives you the option to play in 640x480 in big window without having to change desktop resolution)
*Linux users: funny note, it's easier get the game running on Wine windows emulator because native Linux versions don't allow for ALT Enter shortcut, not sure if this was ever fixed or not, I don't use Linux anymore, F off with that S*** LMAO you're on your own

There are improvements that can be made if anyone wants to volunteer:
I was going to investigate if there is a way to make the Frost Shards pass through enemy bodies (like the Shotgun does in Doom) for better crowd control.
I also wanted to see if there is a way to change the game's function A_FreezeDeath in order to reduce the timer on which enemies stay frozen before exploding, the timer is too long.

The mod itself is only 1 Megabyte in size, the additional size is because gzdoom is included in the package, if you want just the original untouched mod it is called Hexen Veteran and it's like 20 Kilobytes
