This mod is trying to make combat fell more live and strategic than vanilla. In vanilla HOMM V, 90% of the time you already know, how the battle will end, but now you have much more opportunities to engage or defend yourself againts superior force of enemies. There was lots of units in every faction, that were so boring and useless in all kinds of battles and in general everyone was using just 3 types of units to win the battle. Now its not so important to have 1 overpowered unit but more units with good positioning, but that doesnt mean that you are not capable of dealing high damage with single unit. Now you have two options during buying units in castle, both second and alternative upgrade now offers you choice between high damage per one shot/hit or high survivability and very good "team" skills.

Necropolis

Units:

1. Tier

  • Skeleton - Better Defence, gained Unlimited Retaliation and Double Attack ability.
  • Skeleton Archer - Better Attack and Initiative, gained Ranged Retaliation ability.
  • Skeleton Warrior - Better Attack, HP and Initiative, gained Unlimited Retaliation and Fierce Retaliation.

2. Tier

  • Zombie - Better stats overall.
  • Plague Zombie - Better stats overall.
  • Mummy - Stats lowered to proper tier, added Implosion spell on Basic level.

3. Tier

  • Ghost - More HP and Speed.
  • Spectre - More HP, Speed, Defence and Initiative.
  • Poltergeist - More HP, Speed, Attack and Initiative but less Defence.

4. Tier

  • Vampire - Better stats overall.
  • Vampire Lord - Better Defence and Speed, gained ability Unlimited Retaliation.
  • Vampire Prince - Better Attack, Speed and Initiative, gained ability No Enemy Retaliation.

5. Tier

  • Lich - No changes here yet.
  • Archlich - Stronger spells and more Mana.
  • Lich Master - Better Attack and more Mana.

6. Tier

  • Wight - Better stats overall, gained Fear and Horror of Death ability.
  • Wraith - Better Attack, lower Defence, gained frontal zone attack (6 tiles), Evil Eye and Horror of Death ability.
  • Banshee - Better Defence and Initiative, gained frontal zone attack (3 tiles), Sorrow Strike,Horror of Death and Weakening Aura.

7. Tier

  • Bone Dragon - Better stats overall.
  • Spectral Dragon - Better stats overall.
  • Death Knight - Better stats overall, adjusted to higher tier.

Main changes of whole faction!

1. Price of all Necropolis units is now 1 gold/per unit regardless of tier.

2. Price of all military buildings of Necropolis is now much higher (expecially upgrades), that means they will have much slower progress of upgrading units.

3. Dark Energy now allows to resurrect as much units, as your necromancer skills allows you from units killed in battle. That means, that this is main source of units of every necromancer. 90% of units, that you can resurrect will be without upgrade and some kinds of units cant be resurrected. That now makes Necropolis faction much more early-game faction with lot of agressivity potential.
