This mod is trying to make combat fell more live and strategic than vanilla. In vanilla HOMM V, 90% of the time you already know, how the battle will end, but now you have much more opportunities to engage or defend yourself againts superior force of enemies. There was lots of units in every faction, that were so boring and useless in all kinds of battles and in general everyone was using just 3 types of units to win the battle. Now its not so important to have 1 overpowered unit but more units with good positioning, but that doesnt mean that you are not capable of dealing high damage with single unit. Now you have two options during buying units in castle, both second and alternative upgrade now offers you choice between high damage per one shot/hit or high survivability and very good "team" skills.

there are same models for t1 dungeon units already made by some russian modmakers. But your models are with better resolution and proper sounds. By the way, are you going to continue with other units which already have personal sound list (hydra, archdevil and others)?

Thanks. Some of these units were done previously by other modders, but in smaller scale and mostly with their personal tweaks. We all use the same models (from Heroes 6 and 7), but the final result is up to individual modder. This is just sneak peak of what im planning to do over time. Complete Haven and Dungeon together with more units for other factions such as Inferno (with famous pit lord from H6), Necropolis, Stronghold, Fortress and Academy. But none of this will be done in near future. Content will be added one by one with maximum focus on quality on visuals aswell as sounds. Even lot of already implemented units which you are able to test out will have tweaks in their animations and sounds later. Hydra and some other Dungeon units are on the way with their own sounds.

Hi!
I discovered a huge problem with the mod.
In the necromance town every creature costs 1 gold, which is litarelly game braking. Other than that, the mod works well in my oponion so nice job m8!:D
But can u fix this necromance cost thing? I would like to play more with this mod and enjoy it :D

Actually, this is feature from last iteration of the mod. It was supposed to be something like "dead dont need money". This was compensated by giving them very low base growth for units and basically making all buildings for units very expensive. Expecialy their upgrades. Some higher tiers of units also cost other resources and the basic un-upgraded units are weaker then before. As final compensation, their raising dead mechanic is almost infinite and main way of getting units. So its not actually broken, Necropolis is actually harder in late game, but still manageable. But ofcourse, necropolis will be getting reworked with addition of some new units, so stay tunned for that. Thanks!

I have to say, regardless of the players' opinion on balancing, this is truly a piece of art. You make 3d models from HoMM6&7 looks cleaner and smoother in HoMM5 than that in their original games. I would watch this closely. This must be a pain to replace all the models and make all the animations smooth. Kudos for the efforts. I am interested to know how you made the models and animations work, too. It has bugged my community for quite some time.

In credits you could see one particulary important name "Zahar". This awesome guy helped me incredibly by learning me the whole process of putting any models (and animations) in H5. The trick is mainly in patience (a LOT of patience), but the import on itself is straight forward. If you are intrusted in details, i could link you his tutorial, from which i learned most of the things. If you already know the process, but you are intrusted in H6 models, its a little bit more complicated.Thats quite pain and it takes a lot of effort to make just one unit in good conditions. Im planning on making my own tutorial on H6 models and animations, but it will take time (a lot). The whole process is mainly time consuming. Thanks for your kind words and take care!

Hi!I am very happy to see the models of HoMM6&7 in HoMM5, they look even cooler. Thank you for your contribution. But I prefer the original battle mode of HoMM5, so I hope there is a version that can modify the model separately without changing other data.

Its actually impossible (and unsuitable) to not change abilities of new units, because they are completely different from H5 counter parts. Some light version without some major difference in faction mechanics could be arranged, but at later date. But thank you for your kind words!

You can create it as small addon and post it here on this moddb page as alternative addon for all users of this mod. Its after all only few lines of text in h5 format and its unnecessary to create complete "new" version of mod for it. Then you can link it to your forum as you like.

Great work!!! I really appreciate your time and effort. I can't wait to play the new update with new creatures for all factions. My personal feedback is that the old textures for resources (ores, woods, crystals,..) looked better than the current textures.

These models work so smoothly! Really great job! I wonder if that's possible to port not only units' models, but also heroes. Models in heroes 6 are much better detailed, they have both male and female versions and each have magical or warrior classes, and replacing heroes models would really make Heroes 5 shine in new colours!
