Yo, what up G's. It's yaboi. Back with all that thrill seeking bulletin point goodness. Here's what was accomplished:
-Began work on testing the new HUD type.
-Began work on bridging tech to transfer the test player model (currently the filler for pawns model) over to a more accurate, less-corroded format. So far, corrosion is defeated.
-Fixed selection and holstering issues in multiplayer, introduced through the select animation fix.
-Began reworking code to remove lag spikes in multiplayer. This is either from the display update or the selection fix update. So far it has been massively reduced, and only occurs in the first place during high intensity environments, with very specific weapons. The circumstances are difficult to consistently replicate, but the result is wild.
+Footnote: You basically get banished to the otherside. You lag out and aren't receiving clientside data, but you're receiving and sending enough data to not be considered timed out. The living world just disappears around you, as you walk around the level itself just fine, up until you drop the weapon causing the issue. Then, the world begins to phase back in and time resumes. In the new patching, waiting a couple seconds will clear and you to catch up. This bug is actually one of the most hilarious and spooky I've ever seen. An absolute favorite. But it's on its way out due to a couple oversights that caused it temporarily.
-Fixed shotguns having spread larger than intended due to unsecured accuracy comparisons. Many shotguns had wide spreads for virtually no reason. This was discovered during some fine tuning.
-Added prototype screen movements during weapon animations. This was added primarily for melee weapon camera overhauling, but is now extended to other animations as well.
