Leader Overhaul Mod v1.7.1:
- Fixes several bugs found in v1.7
- Restores the "L Command" from an earlier build. Pressing the 'L' key allows you to select AI teammates' units and buildings and destroy them. This was added as a way to help prevent AI players from locking themselves out of the game (such as building nothing but supply pads on their main base.)
- Reworks the second Spectator option to allow players to spectate matches involving only AI.
How to install manually:
*If you are updating from a previous version, delete the previous version before installing.
Download and extract this .rar archive using WinRAR or an equivalent program.
If you are using the Steam version, you may place the "LeaderOverhaulMod v1.7" folder anywhere. If you have the windows store version, then you must put it here:
C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.BulldogThreshold_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
Open the "LeaderOverhaulMod v1.7" folder, then open "ModData" and copy the address/path.
Then, go to:
C:\Users\*YourUsername*\AppData\Local\Halo Wars
Right click, create a .txt file and name it "ModManifest".
Open ModManifest and paste in the address that was copied.
Save ModManifest, and you're done

- Restored Spawner Form's spawn ability
- Fixed an issue causing Methane Scarabs to have significantly lower stats than intended
- The Last Bastion (Fort Deen rework) now loads correctly
- Enforcer Sentinels' shields now work properly
- Fully upgraded Jump Pack Brutes now cost the correct amount of supplies
- Grunt Ghosts and Grunt Deacons now properly benefit from Methane Wagon auras
- Reworked buff auras (Honor Guards, Methane Wagons, Abominations): auras no longer stack, but buffed units will no longer be able to become nearly invincible.
- Removed Ability icon from Combat Medics (their ability was removed in 1.7)
- Infected BR Marines can now attack
- Release the Flood now only deals a tiny amount of damage
Balance Changes:
- The second Spectator option now keeps the player in game, allowing you to spectate AI matches

Hi! I've been enjoying the new update to 1.7 and this has increased my playtime for the game tremendously! I wanted to point out a few things I've observed while playing skirmish 3v3 on 200 automatic difficulty as that is the usual game mode I play for this game:
-Economy is extremely brutal throughout the game as the enemy AI will exponentially have more resources than you even in early game causing you not to have as many units to send out to defend or rush early.
-Cost of vehicles and higher tiered units are way too expensive to have a substantial army to keep up against the AI army spawns.
-Damage output of the dropped units from the leader powers are so powerful that it only takes one drop to kill a base that is undefended in about 2 minutes. (mostly UNSC drops)
-Cannot flare or indicate supply pads of Flood or Rebel leader (whether it is the teammate's supply pad or your own) in order to receive supplies.
-Sometimes the units that transfer to your own when using Rebel sympathizer power will become immobile and impossible to use.
-Bases' health even with maximum slots filled with buildings are so weak it becomes an uphill battle after losing 4 reactor base for UNSC side. This might be tied to damage output of Vehicles and Aircraft.
-Rebel leader seems weak as a unit even with upgrades comparatively to the other leaders.
There are probably more I could point out as I play since it is a mod but these are the things I've noticed throughout my playthrough. I really enjoy this though and will continue to play it.

Another bug found: The new map "ANTRHAX ISLE" has inconsistant team spawning locations. One player spawns Team 2's side of the map, and one on the enemy team spawns in on Team 1's side. The base on Team 1's side is always the right corner base, where-as we've been able to get a player in team 1 into each of the Team 2 bases. (Team 1 is left team in lobby, Team 2 is right team in lobby).
Another bug: Needler based units commonly cannot hit Falcons (Might apply to other air units unsure needs testing). This happens with a lot of projectiles that have some form of tracking, where each shot will fly under and through the aircraft.
Potential bug: Cutter has to purchase his ODST drop ability but everyone else gets theirs for free (VS say Forge's super strong Grizzly drop)?

Flood Spawner forms don't appear to do anything when using their ability. Tested vs Neutral Rebel Marines, Heavy Scorpion and the base itself. Basic ability does not spawn or fire Infection forms so presumably is bugged.
Unknown cause on a consistant CTD on Fang Peak.
Just wanna say we've not stopped playing this damn mod it's bloody incredible. We played v1.6 and are so greatful for the new maps.

Since next year i'm gonna make my own Halo MCC Mods, 6 Campaign Overhauls for Reach, Combat Evolved, 2, 3, ODST, & 4, 2 Firefight Overhauls for Reach & ODST, Spartan Ops Overhaul for 4, and Extinction which is my favorite Custom Edition Map for 2A MP, i was originally gonna make a Halo Wars Mod but i decided not to because this mod fits perfectly for me

I don't know if it's been addressed anywhere or not, but there seems to be an immediate CTD when you try to fire the covenant Megaturret (base version, I haven't tried the map-based one or the grunt deacon one yet.)
I guarantee that you didn't install it correctly mate!
I used the mod manager so I don't THINK I could've screwed it, but the possibility of me being stupid is never 0. It's also possible the crash wasn't the megaturret, but just so happened to happen the moment I tried to fire it. It is the only crash I've gotten with the mod to date.

The 4th mission is virtually impossible to win with this mod. grizzly's do hardly any damage to grunts with bombs and hunters... I honestly hate this mod now... fix the damage delt by the tanks to hunters and grunts with bombs...
Please make the marines back to have the reach model T_T, I will love you for ever

add a research which gets your troops to spawn with stars max of 2 for all leader
add vehicles that can be made for the flood such as hog, hornet. tank, wraith
add 2 new leaders you can pick which has all the leader benefits such as with UNSC would be called spirit of fire which has all the other UNSC leaders merged into one and same with the coveant and add 2 skulls which would buff their faction such as UNSC and coveant
would it be possible to bring back the ODST recon specialist in the ODST squad, or better yet make them an individual unit? I wasn't sure if my comment on the ODST image would get seen so I thought I might mention it here :)
