The UNSC's latest light interceptor, strictly for space-bourne ops it's main purpose is for tying up covenant single ships long enough for heavier support to arrive, rapid response fighter support and advanced scouts
can i paint a bullseye on that huge fin

Strange, i'd expect them to do the same with the Longsword.
You must realize that the angle of the picture makes the wing look a lot bigger than it really is.
Actualy, it looks smaller than it is..remember the shot on the forums?
But i don't see why it's any different to the Longsword, it has a big assed thin and huge wings, and it goes slow compared to the scimitar, so it'd be an easier target..
Remember the scimitar is a light interceptor, it uses it's speed to do it's job.
Why the necessity for wings in a frontier that has no need for aerodynamics?
Maybe it can be used as multipurpose for air/space like the pelican i believe?
Nah, it isn't, but the wings hold alot of the equipment, it has a very small chasis so the wings hold fuel for the after burners and ammo for the gattling guns, same with the tail, it holds comms equipment and sensors
The thing isn't supposed to last long anyway, it's speed and agily are supposed to be what keeps it alive in a dog fight, unlike the pelican it isn't supposed to do a head on charge against a seraph firing off salvos of missles, but use it's speed to scout and hold up bomber/fighter swarms in dog fights [Like the old ones of ww2] while heavier support catches up

And it isn't used in the atmosphere because it hasn't got strong enough props to reach escape velocity, or the armour to enter atmosphere, it's strictly for space uses
i think this goes against the design nature of all UNSC ships
and does this have missles like the longsword????????

No, without armour missles would be a disaster, a single shot would take the fighter out if it hit the missles, it only has gattling guns, like i said, it's not meant to destroy much, just hold it up in a dog fight long enough for heavier things to get there or for bombers to slip past

I think I'm the only person who thinks about this, but how much firepower are these things implementing? Will it be an extremely cheap fighter with practically no stuff on it that's useless unless you make a lot of them, or will it be the more expensive but useful type?
