A few tweaks to the Brute model. Added two large canine teeth, altered the helmet/face area, vastly improved the hands so they are no longer these weird and oversized/three fingered things (now right size and with 4 fingers as Brutes actually have). A few changes to the texture as well.
Original model on the right. New on the left. Hand in center is the NEW hand...not old.

No. Anatomically, your fingertips should touch your knees when held limp. His fingertips touch his knees. They look long because he has them held in t-pose, striaght out with no bend at the elbow.

Awesome, more updates is always appreciated. What kind of squads will these be in and with what weapons?
I plan on making the covenant work with doctrines rather than tech levels. If you choose Brute doctrine, these will be heavy infantry with Brute plasma rifles and maulers. Field commander brutes will have brute shots and then chieftains will have hammers. The elite doctrine will feature the spec opps elites (not as strong as brute infantry but they have camo) and then the zealots in place of chieftains. Both sides will have grunts but with an elite or brute captain, depending. I am also considering allowing for a mixed doctrine where you have both species but are not allowed their specific upgrades, for balance.
No matter what doctrine you choose, the list of heroes will be the same with Tartarus and Arbiter, as this is a pre-civil war era mod.

Just watch out for the ones with the brute shot... They will be pretty good against light vehicles.

It will be once it is animated :) You have to model it in "T Pose" which means everything is rigid and straight. This makes rigging (adding bones) easier.

Looks awesome! Just wondering what made you choose to use the Halo 2 brutes? The reason I ask is because ODST also took place before the civil war, so technically you could have used the Halo 3 brutes too.
Im also curious as to what the chieftains are going to look like seeing that there were none in Halo 2. :)
I didn't choose the H2 Brutes because they fit chronologically... I just like the way they look :) Reach Brutes suck...H3 Brutes are ok but the "biker" feel they got just wasn't right IMO.
Basically I view Brutes and giant-***, intelligent, alien grizzly bears. The closer we got to Reach, the more they became like alien gorillas and I resent that... The "gorilla" look is so overused that it makes me want to vomit; it was poor/cliche art direction.
