Yes, the same. I believe in the books, Australia is mentioned as having a space elevator...and is specifiy targeted by the Covenant as a result. I picked Brisbane because its relatively flat and a river runs through it...just like my map.

Man those road lines are still really huge. It also looks like the windows are popping out of the building. Could do with an emissive map I think.
What do you mean by "popping out"? And yeah, I haven't touched the traffic line textures at all yet.
I feel they should look embossed into the building. There also isn't a very good indication of scale on the windows. Perhaps adding faint lines to them like the city windows in New Mombassa?
he´s talking about bump map, I believe - like you have it reversed so it "bumps" the window out instead of in.
Most skyscraper windows are flush with the sides of the building.
I do agree that most of the buildings could do with a touch more detail. However, the reflection maps on the windows specifically, prefer to have a lot of open area in the texture on which to reflect...if that makes sense. The tiny details on the games reflection maps usually get lost...

Good reference material. Thanks! Once I'm done modeling the buildings I will revisit the textures a bit and see what I can do. Keep in mind that overall, the buildings (even the big ones) will be bereft of a lot of the finer details anyway for the sake of performance. My goal is to have a "full" city with many buildings, rather than a bare city with super-high detailed buildings. It's a tradeoff.
Yeah I understand. Those concepts are pretty varied and can be used in modules so hopefully that'll help.

Yes. However, if it's an issue with icons all over... That's likely because you haven't patched your game all the way. You need all the patches or a MTDCommandbar file that is too big will not display correctly.

Yeah, I'm fine with community maps AFTER the mode itself is released.
Many of the animations are stiff and need to be redone. The Elite is one of them that needs it.

I LOVE THIS, I cant wait for this mod! I suppose that you will allow the community to make custom maps using halo props and the stuff you use? I'm pretty sure I would spend some time making some of them.
