To be honest, I have used a few prefabs as starting points but once I am finished it should all be my own work :p
The jets will never really be staying still and are more for background scenery so I am using less detail on these! The tank however might stay around a bit longer for the player to see...
I agree. It just might be nostalgia speaking but I've always preferred prefabs over models (especially highly detailed ones) which often tend to stick out like a sore thumb in a low-detailed environment (unless it's highly detailed of course but that's not always the case). That's also why I'm not particularly fond of the High Definition Pack models or even the High Resolution Pack for Duke Nukem 3D.
I dunno, it's just part of the charm I guess. Not everyone will agree obviously but that's fine.
Totally agree. If a game/mod hasn't been built around a certain level of quality all round, then you'll have really jarring inconsistencies and outliers.
I agree - I have made as much as possible using brushes, such as the computers, so that lighting can be used on them :)
The jeeps and trucks are models simply because they have animations that I wanted to use, and using a combination of brush and models would look odd, so I chose to stick with the models in this case!
Practically played every HL mod I could get my hands on, and that is by far one of the best brushwork tanks I have ever seen.
You should play Moddb.com for inspiration, that mod featured an astounding level of detailed brushwork vehicles and architecture you could draw inspiration from. (Can't remember if there was a tank in it though, however, the trucks were absolutely amazing)
That tank is freaking incredible for a brush work, well done!

:O, that tank though.
I always appreciated more prefabs than models on maps :D...lights looks more realistic on them and you can give functions too. Great job there!

Thank you :)
I am very aware of this mod however, I definitely would cite this as a strong inspiration and an excellent mod :)
Them's some fancy vehiculars you got there!
Be a real shame for someone to blow 'em up...
Dat tank! Also good work on the jet too.
Amazing tank work! well done!
You are a true master of brushwork my friend.
Those looks absolutely wonderful, good job!! :D
It would be awesome to be able to play with the tank like the one in the orignal HL. Hahaha Nice work here
Release them as prefab please!
