For some reason, the mod on Steam is not available in my region. I'm from Brazil.
I don't understand why that would be the case since it's a mod for HL2, and other HL2 mods on Steam are available to download just fine.
Do you know why that is?
Try changing your region or country on steam
You can't change region or country on Steam as far as I know, only the language. The mod is simply not available in my country for some reason.
I rather not rely on a VPN, but if it's what I have to do... The mod is free, so Valve wouldn't be losing any money if I did this.
Just download from MoDB it's a stand alone. If you have steam running it should pickup the api, when you run the game.
This is pretty good overall with fairly good design, some questionable weapons availability, but I can't comment on the entire game, since I found it impossible to finish.
After getting through the Egypt part, I ended up in a section with 10 headcrab guys, and 10 screaming skeleton guys, and absolutely no weapons - so I had to run a lot. OK, got to an opening in a wall with a few planks barring my way - somehow, with dozens of these guys clawing at me, I managed to get through the gap into a small courtyard with two headcrab guys, and with 30% health. Again no weapons, but there's enough stuff to get onto a roof, and peer through a window ... where there are four guys with machine guns in a big hall. Somehow, I managed to run past them and climb up to a door, open it and ... another headcrab guy. Run past him, out the window, onto a sloping roof, and 2% - that's two percent - health, and still no weapons. And from there, there are again no weapons, no health packs, an obstacle course and maybe ten headcrabs, ten skeleton guys and ten headcrab guys.
Call me a wuss, but after trying many times to go forward against such insurmountable odds, at that point I gave up with the game, cursed the developer, and uninstalled the game. I DO like a challenge, but I don't consider it fun to be "tied up" in this way and repeatedly hit over the head with a blunt object, with no chance of fighting back. Not fun at all. But who knows? - maybe you'll love it...
Sorted out now, didn't realise the windows were breakable, but some of the puzzles I just didn't get...still, noclip or a map change came to the rescue...
got as far as the eastern bit and the altar, but can't find what to do next...no switches, no triggers and everything killed...just me walking around a desert outpost..
Enoyed playing it. Recorded Full Walkthrough but accidently without sound.
I just made my own Batch file got it working as a stand alone. Enjoyed it thanks.
