Gothic II - Jason's L'hiver ENG Edition mod

My personal modification of L'hiver ENG Edition by Himalayas.

Jason's L'Hiver Edition - English version

Type of modification: Re-Texture, Re-Model, Re-Balance, Re-World
Current version: 0.9.1 (0.9.1 English)

This mod primarily makes visual changes to the game, enriching the world of Gothic with beautiful new textures and models and, most notably, making changes to the world maps by creating new paths, connecting and opening the world even further. Furthermore, it expands the maps adding many new areas and integrates them seamlessly into the existing world.

This mod does NOT affect the plot of the game. However, it does make changes to the balancing and increases the game difficulty.

There are new items, weapons, armors, changes and additions to the crafting system, potions, skills, etc.

English translation and adaptation by Himalayas.

Installation:

1. Install the game: Gothic II - The Night of the Raven (Gothic II: Gold Edition)
2. Install the following fixes into the game root folder (typically: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Gothic 2 Gold or C:\Program Files (x86)\JoWooD\Gothic II\):
- gothic2_fix-2.6.0.0-rev2.exe (http://www.worldofgothic.de/dl/download_278.htm)
- gothic2_playerkit-2.6f.exe (http://www.worldofgothic.de/dl/download_168.htm)
- g2notr-systempack-1.1.exe (http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/threads/1340357-Release-Gothic-½-—-SystemPack-(ENG-DEU))
3. Install the mod:
- extract the contents of the package into the game root folder
- overwrite the files when asked (may want to backup Gothic.ini)
4. Run the game as Administrator

2. Unpack normalmaps_Original to Gothic II\system\GD3D11\textures\replacements\Normalmaps_Original

4. Unpack normalmaps_LHiver to Gothic II\system\GD3D11\textures\replacements\Normalmaps_Original and override
