Age of Empires III: Galactic Conflict is a non-commercial, fan-based Star Wars themed mod under construction for Ensemble’s Studios Age of Empires III, drawing inspiration from several star wars games such as Galactic Battlegrounds, Force Commander and Empire at War, AoE3: GC aims to bring the star wars universe to the great RTS game of Age of Empires III.
So, you may've noticed that most infantry infantry models use retextured vanilla game models.
This is because up until now, it was very hard to properly rig a new model with the game's old animations.
I've began to try this method on the Battledroids, as I've stated in previous posts, but now I wanted to expand it to normal infantry - for more realistic units. This was one of the first tests that I've actually came out proud...
You can see that the left hand is not where it should be just yet, but we're getting there as I will continue to perfect the rigging method. Who knows, maybe we will actually see real stormtroopers rather than retextured longbows...
