A total conversion mod for the Wing Commander universe taking place in the timeframe of Wing Commander III and IV. The mod is, as the original games, heavily centered around fighter and bomber warfare, while keeping a healthy importance to capital ships. With the current version, you can play as the Terran Confederation, the Union of Border Worlds, the Black Lance and the Kilrathi Empire from Wing Commander III. Mod initially created by Aaron 'czacen' Thomas who disappeared half a dozen years ago after publishing this mod and allowing me to tinker with it and improve its gameplay and balance features. This is the version for Remastered, featuring completely reworked models and new elements everywhere. Fully-working AI for all new factions and multiplayer-compatible. The hyperspace jump animation was taken with permission from the BluePlanet FreeSpace mod for Homeworld 2

Description

This is the stable release of the new content patch for Flag Commander, adding Wing Commander I and II ships from Klavs and Deathsnake. It features a new game mode to select during a skirmish or a multiplayer game, allowing you to choose between the WC 1&2 era or the WC 3&4 era. Note that the Union of Border Worlds does not have ships for the WC 1&2 era. Unzip both .big files and use the shortcut targeting both of them at once to activate the new ships, while the previous version can also work as a stand-alone.

Trying to play with the three factions from the mod gets me a 'general failure'mid load

All of these are on standard difficulty playing on Terah on wc 3/4 mode
Terran VS Terran has no crash on load
Terran VS Terran has no crash on load
Terran VS Vaygr has no crash on load
Terran VS Kilrathi has a crash at skirmish load
Terran VS Union has a crash at skirmish load
Terran VS Taiidan has a crash at skirmish load

No, it was the release of both files at the time the Steam upload was failing. It was fixed, and over the past few days, a couple of bugs were fixed on the Steam version, so when I get back home in a few hours, I will upload the compiled versions of each mod on ModDB. Plural used because it appeared that to upload properly on Steam, I had to separate the files:

There is now Flag Commander, the core mod which will be the same one as what we had until last week (with a couple code modifications to allow compatibility), and the additional content (codenamed End Run on ModDB and Secret Missions 1 on Steam) with the Wing Commander I and II ships. The mods are designed to work together, so you can play Flag Commander alone with the normal factions or play it with End Run/Secret Missions at the same time, which will allow you to use the new ships.
