i'm not sure where the name came from, but it looks like an HK 21E crossed with an mp5
well some guys really did that in real life,simply replacing the basic mag....by a big belt box and modifying the mp5 in some ways =D
It's probably based on the HK53 or HK51, not the MP5. Rechambering an MP5 to accept 7.62x51/5.56x45mm (and from box magazines of all things) would be a gigantic waste of time considering you could just buy a G3 or HK33.

Wrong Wrong and Wrong. It's to short to be a HK21, To big to be an MP5, and the rounds this particular gun is chambered for pack just a little bit bigger of a punch than 9mm. That's right, this is a Box-Mag Belt-Fed HK53. The Bigger brother to the MP5.
NVM, they either have had trouble with getting licencing to recreate this, or it's a gun I've never heard of before. I checked the main page and apparently this bitch is chambered in 7.62mm NATO. Meh.

This is not an MP5 (Idiots) as it clearly fires .308, this appears to be an HK21E with a shortened barrel and a G3A4 stock.
I thought he just proved that it WASN'T an MP5.

That's not the same weapon, actually. The "Vollmer" is an HK51B modified with an HK21 heavy barrel, and HK91 (I think) belt feed assembly. It uses M60 links for the .308 (7.62mm NATO) rounds.
Don't expect to use this standing up on full auto.

It's not an MP5 mod, it's a G3 mod. It's an HK51 (which is a modified G3) modified to accept belt-feed.
I get it though it seems they shortened the barrel..... If its a G3 mod then shouldn't it be more of a rifle then firing at a slower rate of fire then a LMG? and being more accurate (if your on Semi Auto)?

Lets get a point across the room here. Just like the AK seris, you can take parts of guns made by the same venders and use those parts in another gun by the same venders. The AK seris work so well with each other is because they are design to use the same type of ammo or round type. Take a AK-74 Carbine and a AK-101 and the parts should work as if they were in their original gun. Weapons like the RPD, however(Even though the gun was based of the AK seris) cant be simply placed in a AK-74 or 47. Takes a different size round and is belt-feed. Study the guns, the venders and their possiblities of interchangable parts between rifles.
The G3a4 fires 7.62x51mm NATO standard (Aka .308 Winchester).
The Mp5 fires 9x19mm Parabellum
The G3 is a battle/assault rifle
The Mp5 is a Submachinegun

The RPD uses the same round as the the ak47 dumb **** both use 7.62 x 39mm,and the ak74 and the ak101 use different rounds moron, the ak74 uses 5.45 x 39mm and the ak101 uses 5.56 x 45mm(aka .223),and there are no H&K mp5 parts that are interchangeable with any H&K G3 variants, and there are no G3 parts that are interchangeable any mp5 variant,also there is a huge difference between the mp5 and the G3 besides the G3 having more range it also uses rifle rounds 7.62 x 51mm(aka .308 or 7.62 NATO)to be exact which is much more powerful than the handgun 9 x 19mm(aka 9mm) used in the mp5, not to mention the handguards are different lengths, the barrels are different sizes,the magazines lock in differently, and the stocks are different 2 pins on the G3 stock and 1 pin on the mp5, therefore you are a moron who knows **** about guns.

I know this is old but ran across this thread and decided to clear it up. This gun does exist it is nothing more than a shortened down HK21. The barrel length is 8" and cyclic rate in the real world is 1,000 per min.It is slightly larger than an MP5 and has a belt box on it. It is a handful and a half to shoot. Just thought you would want to know the facts.
