You play as a citizen, hours after an unnamed person showed up in city 17, when Overwatch made much stricter laws, no one is permitted to leave home, house searches are done every few hours in every house block, which hasn't already been destroyed by the fury of "law" and every citizen lives in terror. The night after "The Freeman" showed up, you decide to flee through the canals after people told you how easily some escaped there. You shouldn't have believed what they said. This trip is a real proof of your braveness, will you manage to do this? Will you finally reach for a better live? And why do I ask all these questions? Go find it out! This mod is based on HL2 gameplay and hasn't new materials or kinda stuff. It uses materials from Hl2 and its episodes and you should have EP2 installed in order to play this.

I tried to make my best in fixing the errors, but, well, I started mapping for this mod when I was a beginner, that means, there are many bugs, and it's a better idea to work on something else than try and find the errors, I won't waste my work on a small map-pack when there's other mods I'm developing, so, you have to forgive me, but I'm going to take this mod off this webpage, it now officially died...

why are there so many mods like this cant you make your own story, stop using hl2, its 6 years old...
idk, you know, it could be due to the fact HL2 is the best game ever made and it still is fun to play, 6 years later, still competes with anything else on the market, 6 years later, and still has the largest content collection for any game, 6 years later, need I say more?
First of all, Killi101, I like the HL2 universe, why change what's already good?
Second, I am going to put some new gameplay moments and challenges in my mod, because I'm not just redoing what others already made.

Yes, really, the are lost of good mods using vanilla HL2 content, just look at The Citizen or Rebellion, they're just awesome!
I deleted all the pics, don't fear, they are only outdated, it will pass some time before i'll release another pack of screenshots.

I have to admit, after noticing some bugs in my map I had much work optimizing and now, progress is slowed down by some factors..

About the sprites and things that don't look so good here, I'm a beginner mapper, taught it myself some months ago and I'm always trying to improve my mapping style, the sprites were made with scale 0.25, but, don't know why, they still look unrealistic and dunno how to fix it.
However, I'm going to release the first part of this map as a testmap soon for the purpose that ppl can judge my work and give thumbs up or thumbs down to make my mod a successfull one.
No, don't do that. What you need to do is get a group of steam friends you know will be honest and use those, trust me, I've seen people release mods in beta before, and I would recommend against it...
