An article on my thoughts about retro-actively fitting the Odyssey Engine to be used for Total Conversion modifications.

Posted by on

Latest thoughts are about a K2 to K1 mobile port for the story ( with official authorisation only or a tutorial for people to follow to port it themselves ) as well as retro-actively fitting the Odyssey Engine to use for Total Conversions set in the Star Wars universe and otherwise.

This could be used for any type of RPG game or even a Point & Click adventure by cutting the combat aspect of the game and using new scripts contains the potential for new mini-games using the current turret and swoop mini-games as well as anything people could think of to combine the two sets of scripts and or use the kotor scripting tool to use any of the available functions to create all sorts of content, I hope this project takes off and allows people to easily create stories and games on this platform.

My main thoughts are to provide people the tools and a tutorial to allow people to make new levels using pieces of maps already in the game as well as the possibility for new pieces, complete re-skins and new mini-games using the turret and swoop levels as a base.

I look forward to peoples input and thoughts on the matter and find it to be a really interesting side project along my current project / two mods for the KotOR series.
