This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
Beta 520 has been helping out with making textures. I've never been entirely comfortable with working in a team since I don't have absolute control over the content, and by extension, quality control. However as of late I've been incorporating more work from other people and I have to say, it's been a good experience, and the quality of the work has not disappointed in the least. On the contrary, as can be seen here, it's actually helped, things I've historically not been great at, texturing for one, can be taken over by others who do a much better job than I would've done.
These textures are still work in progress, made by Beta 520. The renders are from Substance painter, they'll degrade a bit when they're translated to the alamo engine but overall, I'm still very happy with them.
The mon cal 80 we're all familiar with. The Dauntless will be the Sullustian heavy brawler and the closest thing the Rebellion can build that represents a heavy warship. 10 quad turbolaser batteries + maybe some other misc weapons. Heavy armor, relatively weak shields, 1200m, very restricted fire arcs but if you can get it in the middle of an enemy fleet and have all weapons fire it's going to inflict some serious damage. Or just keep it far away, and bombard with its powerful broadside from long range.
The mon cal Tide class is a 600m-ish fast attack frigate with papermache armor, good shields, decent weapons, and high speed. Useful to hit and run attacks, like the MC 30, but with more conventional weaponary.
Credit for the textures to Beta 520, with a tad bit to Doci for his amazing armor plating generator for Substance Painter.

And of course, the Patreon page of the mod, which is keeping this thing afloat: Patreon.com Please consider supporting if you can, if you can't, that's cool too, positive comments fill the heart instead of the stomach, and that is important too.
I have been wondering for a while now and I can't find any information on it, but how do you change the view from top down view? I have seen it in a couple of videos. And I'm not talking about battlecam.
you can either turn on the "press both mouse buttons to rotate camera" option in the game settings or you can hold control and middle mouse button and move the mouse to rotate the camera view. if you screw up you can press "home" to restore the default view
