So is there any hardware recommendation then or have laptop users have to fear not to be able to play anymore ;)

If you could run the last mod version decently you'll be able to run the new version well.

Do you think you could include this as a skirmish map? I know there's the menu battle, but it would be helpful as a player to have a stress test so you could play with settings and see how well your computer runs the mod. Also, that was a really fun battle to watch on the stream, and I'd love to be able to play it or something like it myself.

If I have time I might include several "skirmish" maps that are actually just pre-set battles. I could create scenarios like the battle of coruscant, that sort of thing.

That'd be great. I like having a chance to just watch, without any of the work needed to build all the ships and get them together.

Description

As many of you know the mod has been severely optimized since the last public release, so I figured it was time for some stress testing.

With about 300 vs 300 cp (max you can normally have is 100) I figured I'd get an accurate impression of the limits of the game, which I got. Now, 300 vs 300 is definitely too much for the game to handle, even with the current optimizations. I don't really mind it crashing with a combined 600 cp when the regular amount you can have is 200, and 200 it handles beautifully. I think I can safely say at this point that if you can't handle this mod it's your pc, not the mod itself. Which I'm very happy to be able to say, because it means all of the optimizations of the past months have not been for nothing.
