Out of curiosity, what's the polycount average you tend to aim for on ships? I imagine there's a lot of flexibility compared to fighters.

Just wondering: How is the Ground Combat rework going?

It's not started yet other than a concept map and the collection of assets that will be used. There's other far more important things to do like all the space and GC changes that are planned

I feel me kinda awkward now since the procrusator is my favourite ship in your mod.

Description

Some of the art assets in the mod are quite old. The 3d models of the star destroyers were made a long time ago, and given the low quality of some of the models (looking at you Procursator) it's amazing that Elratie's great textures manage to hold them all together visually. He really deserves all the credit there.

But, over the past 5 years I've learned a lot as a modeller and after gaining much experience through projects like the Executor, Viscount, and Praetor reskin, I'm confident I can do much better now. So here we go, while Validusia is under construction, a little quick side ship, the ISD.

Using the same methodical construction process as the Praetor and Validusia, I'm creating lots of re-usable assets, which takes a bit longer for the ISD build but makes future projects significantly faster. (And higher quality)

So, lets see how much we improved over the past 5 years?
