This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
This model.....took a while.
The large turret on top is a dual beam cannon. It'll be a small but powerful ship, able to handle most ships with relative ease. Cost will be through the roof.

I'm sure that will look great when it's textured, I love the details too. Nicely done there G.
Thanks, every detail was contemplated long and hard ;)
i really like the turretdesign!
ship is also very nice but the big wings are a bit undetailled or is it not finished yet?
The Nebula class is even smaller than the Venator. For its size, this ship is insanely detailed.
okay.. hmm, we will see it ingame later^^
i only meant the wings under the mainbody of the ship... but i think you dont see them often ingame anyways... aaaand maybe the textures make the wings detailled, like always ;)
I knew you could do it justice, well done! Those turrets look exactly like Fractal's. Can't wait to see this beauty textured.
Your adding New Republic ships to your mod?
But I hope it will not be a "I buy it and win the game 100% destroying executor, death star, and the entire enemy fleet with one shot"-kind of ship, right? In terms of damage what other ship has the approx.?
If you read the Wiki on this ship it was built to handle an ISD2 which is the third strongest Imperial ship in this mod. I would guess then that this ship would beat Piett's ISD2 one on one but would have trouble against the Secutor and should definitely invite friends when fighting the Bellator.
I wouldn't be so sure, because Piett's ISD is improved, and you have to remember that he's an experienced officer, which makes a lot of diffrence in real combat.
I wouldn't say the Nebula should completely own Piett but it should beat him one on one for the Nebula to be useful. If your the rebels and the Empire brings in Thrawn, Piett, and a Secutor or Bellator then you would hope your tier 5 ship would make a difference in evening the odds otherwise why waste the money. In real combat the best commander would win, but for the game it's really about the unit stats and you have to sacrifice some realism for balance. Unfortunately the hero units in the game don't act any more intelligently than every other unit but it would be cool if they did. Geroenimo will balance it how he chooses of course but my guess is around the power of the Secutor which is probably a little stronger than Piett. Maybe he'll make the weapons very accurate so that way it deals more damage despite the fewer number of hardpoints.
Best ship for the rebellion to build against large fleets remains home one. That carriers a bunch of fighters and still has a lot of weapons. This should be able to take down an isd, but not much more than that. Then again, that's pretty much the most powerfulful regular ship of the imperials, it costs a lot (the isd)
getting real anxious waiting for this
Its not unheard of for a smaller more heavily armed ship to out fight and last a much larger ship. The Venators despite being smaller could take on and even destroy mk1 imperial star destroyers despite them being bigger.
My money would be on the ISD mk1 every time. The Nebula at least came after the ISD so you could say the technology level advanced a lot between then so it has more efficient power generation, shields, and heavier weapons. The Venator on the other hand is older, smaller, and has more room devoted to star fighter transport. Otherwise why would the Empire go to the Imperator at all if it already had a ship that was cheaper, carries like over 3 times the fighters and would win in one on one fight.
The ISD would definitly blast the venator out of the water. It's larger, has a lot more weapons and armor and its fighters are a lot more advanced than the older republic craft. You're giving the old venator a little too much credit.
Very nice model. Great work.
Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Damnit, dat is an awesome model we have here ! Love these incredible details all over the ship, great !
