This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
After a long time of staring at different shader settings, I've finally decided on how I'd like the new planet props to look.
Here an example, tatooine, 0 fancy rigging magic, just good shader settings and getting the texture specular just right. I think it turned out well.
Now I can begin to redo all the space maps, and we're steady on route to the 0.99 release. Steady as she goes.

Beautiful...
General Kenobi !!
NNNNOOOOOIIIIICCCCCEEEEEE!!!!!!
How the hell can it be this beautiful
Lots of tryings different shader settings.
How about the suns. I've never seen them on GC maps. Are you planning to add some suns to some of the maps in the near future?
I am resisting the urge to make an "Earth-Chan" joke here, but that does look great.
Oh look how dark it is! Like everything else in the mod.
Come on dude, it's the biggest complaint of the mod, and here you are making the planets darker
space is dark...
You know, within a galaxy, or more precisely within a solar system (and all maps are within a solar system), space isn't exactly dark. Only if you happen to find yourself inside of the shadow of a larger object. Everything else is quite bright. There is a reason space suits and windows of rockets and space stations have special filters to keep out certain components of light.
The darkness you see in the mod is the shadow of the ships as on the "dark" maps the sun is somewhere below the objects on the map.
You're a ******* idiot. It's a game, we have to be able to see the ships. Why would he spend so long working on the models and textures, only to make the game so dark you can't actually see what's going on?
Dude I'm going to mod the mod to make everything darker just to spite you. Don't be an ***
MAKE PLANETS DARK AGAIN!
Tatooine is flat! #WakeupBantha's
Looks great guys, keep it up
Amazing :D
It's beautiful, although it really 'isn't Tatooine', why?
Well, it is too dark, Tatooine is way lighter, also none of the geological markings we can see from the props aren't there or at least not visible.
I understand that this is your mod style and all but it doesn't look anything like the source material. Just my opinion, anyway.
