Sweet Jesus... It's so much better than I thought it was going to be! Damn it, G. You are LEGENDARY. Question: Do you make models professionally or have you? They're always of the highest quality. <3

Description

For a long time now I've been unhappy with a lot of models I built a long time ago, and the star destroyers (from around 5 years ago) are by far the worst. So over the past 4 weeks I've spent all my time building kitbash pieces and reusable assets, that are first used here on new ISD models. The build was a challenge to myself to see how much I've learned over the past 5 years, to redo old work in the best quality I could, while still making it work in Empire at War. The result is these star destroyers.

While I learned a lot in this build, and I greatly enjoyed working on it (Though it definitely was frustrating at times) I don't think I'll be building any more units in this level of detail in the future, as it just takes up too much of my time, time that I could otherwise spend on other things like continueing the starbase overhaul (Which'll resume now this has completed) or ground combat, or any of the other planned works.

Overall, I'm very happy with the end result, finally something I can look at and be nearly 100% happy, very few missed opportunities and lots of variations tried for different parts, and in the end it came together, some parts better than others (New window textures and armor plating respectively), and I'm happy with the end result, especially compared to the old model.

Special thanks to Wolf for helping out with the hangar lights (Which were originally for Validusia and the starbase overhaul), and Elratie for the ISD 1 turret models.
