Just checked that comic, apparently comic artist viewed hangar shields colored in red. So... this is actualy... a hangar (or multiple of them, go figure).

Black armour and being ssd was not enough to convice everyone that this ship is made my evil people so edgy red lights were needed too.
Of course of course, this is star wars after all. Even its engines are red.
