This mod catapults Empire at War into 2077. It maintains the game's design philosophy, while adding new units, better graphics, and deeper gameplay.
We now have: A ton of different base layouts we can copy-paste to our new maps and update old ones. Here Wayland and Yavin. More will be coming. Also, asteroids have been retouched, their textures are now a similar colour and brightness so they mesh better together. Particles have been reworked, now interact better with the light on the map so the moving particle asteroids mesh better with the rest of the actual model asteroids. There is now also dust that spawns in the fields, and we have a new field prop, that basically is just a collection of 3 asteroid fields + larger individual asteroids. This prop will save me a ton of mapping time as it can be used to populate an entire map with asteroids in a single prop placement. It also uses the new dust particles. In the asteroid field image there's a star destroyer for scale on the left side.

Not all these stations spawn on the map, these are just the possible spawn position markers. What stations spawn (if any) depend on what you build on the GC map. Not nearly as impressive as Valudusia was meant to be, but this will have to do.
It's always an ongoing process. One day your ambition will be realized in full, only time and effort remain as barriers. Until that point, I and hundreds of thousands of others will be cheering on every update, every stride made in that direction. Over the years you have proven that every goal you set was reachable, from pushing this engine to its limit to seeing one of the most advanced and high-quality star wars experiences that has given more than we ever thought possible. You HAVE raised the bar, and I think everyone can tell that what we see here today is only the beginning.
Thank you, after so much time working on 4.0 with no release to show for it so far, that's some much needed positivity. It's been a very long road but it's coming together finally.
This is always a welcome sight when I get off a 12 hour shift. It's great work
