Greetings, companions of Edain!
Edain 4.4 with the new Rivendell faction is quickly approaching now - and to give you some early impressions, we have shared a Beta of the new version with two of our favorite Youtubers

I really like Imladris and the new ring mechanic but a i think that Dain was way better the way it was before. I really love playing with the dwarves of the Iron Hills and i think Dain´s old habillities suit him better. (sorry for bad english :P)
Is 4.4 going to be released before august. Just wondering.
Before september maybe, but in 6 days ? I don't think so :)
This is edain team we are talking about xD. They can release it tomorrow if they like, or they can wait another 3 months. They're unpredictable. Luckily for us the new version is often released very soon after the beta YouTube videos.If I'd had to take a wild hunch I'd say you can expect its release within the next 2 weeks or so.

That RuudDevil fellow sounds like such a nice and genuine person. I would recommend everyone like his videos, perhaps even share them with your tennis partner. :D

As someone who doesn't have the time to watch a +1 hour video, what did they changed with the dwarven ring hero aka durin? I know before you needed to bring the ring to a statue, but since they changed the ring system, i guess thats not possible anymore.
It's Thorin Oakenshield and Dain now, upon obtaining the ring, they declare themselves the latest reincarnation of Durin, gain new armor and a new set of abilities related to their previous ones. Both Thorin and Dain (in his 2 versions) get powerful passive abilities that affect the entire faction, Thorin makes it so that the Dwarves only get 25% resources from economy buildings, HOWEVER, his scavenger passive ability now affects everyone around him, and gives massive bounties of money, that can get you up to 10 000 resources in a single battle; Erebor Dain doubles the damage for all friendly units around him, but makes units who are far away half as strong; Iron Hills Dain improves your base, vastly increasing its durability and making it so that the Hall of Warriors produces units instantly, but he is very slow and weak when not around buildings, so you will need a Lone Tower or a forward Dwarven Bastion to attack with him.
There are also a number of changes to the Dwarves in general, the Greed spellbook power was removed and replaced by Thorin Stonehelm's Runes, Balin lost his teleport, but can now make friendly heroes gain experience very fast, and protect a single hero with a Runic shield, Erebor Dain and Iron Hills Dain swapped some of their abilities to reflect the general style of the faction (Iron Hills Dain is defensive, Erebor Dain is offensive), Thorin Oakenshield gets his Oakenshield ability a bit earlier, both he and Fili And Kili share passive abilities that enhance each other and nearby archers, Thorin's scavenger passive can be activated to allow friendly Dwarves to gain resources from enemy units, Mythril mail for heroes is now obtained through a different system, that involves sending a group of veterans to the forge and buying the Mythril individually for each hero, and I think that's all.
