The Dwarves of the Ered Luin have been fundamentally reworked to better fit their lore background, and to complete the overhaul of all three Dwarven Realms. They are a wandering Folk, living modestly as Exiles, far away from the Lonely Mountain. Similar to Thorin and his Company, they are only lightly armored to suit travelling. Blue was kept as their fitting signature color. Gameplay-wise they will focus on speed to outmaneuver their enemies.

I think that this whole 'Dwarven Renaissance' was definitely an extremely wise and just idea, for the gameplay, the lore and the holistic structure of the Edain Mod ;)

What can I say? Fantastic work, really. Lore accuracy where possible makes the mod that much more enjoyable, if I may say so myself. I'm anticipating 4.3 even more now :D!
I love the armour! Is it not possible to give them a shield though? How else are they going to defend themselves against arrows?
By charging the archers faster than anyone else ;)

Is it possible to give them Shoulder Armor similar to Erebor's I mean they may have used remaning of their old Erebor Armors like the Helmet,to remember their roots! :)
tbh, some small shields wouldn't look bad on them i think... if only that they have somethign with whcih oyu could imagine them blocking battle

A buckler is too small, a better thing would be a round wooden shield about the size of Rohans shield. Since the Erebor and Iron Hills shields are made of metal, a wooden shield for Ered Luin would show that their army consists of lightly armored units.
I think usage of wood in weapons is not ''dwarfish''. You know they are miners and smiths and living inside mountains.
Mostly yes. But their siege engines are made of wood and they have lumber camps, so it's not out of the question, so to speak.
Wood is used by all the races, especially dwarves who use a lot of wood to make axes, spears and hammers more than any other race out there.
I have nothing against some Shield,but not too big ,something which you can carry with you with ease while Traveling! :-)

they are definitely missing a shield , they should get phanlax shield from ered luin 4.2. other than that, they are perfect i love helmet and clothing . and i was wondering what happen to iron hills axes i guess ered luin got them now even tho the axe look way more bad *** can it be alittle longer ? ;) i hope the elites dont look to much like travelers i hope they look mighty i hope you guys keep defender helmet ;/ dwarven defenders are my favorite elites i love they're sounds cant wait
Wow, now that is beautiful! This is far more proper for exiled people. And, oh damn, I'm in love with that axe-helmet-coat-scale armor combination :) Especially those axes.
And a question. Are those nice shiny axes the ones seen in Moria in FotR or what?
Ooooh, that would have been great. But as far as I remember all Axes in Moria were two-handed Axes? Do you have some pictures as future reference? ^^

More like people in Exile who keep some Parts of their Old Erebor Armor to remind them of who they are and from where they come! :-)

With factions when you can have only example for Thorin: All the dwarves + bilbo + gandalf. Then at fellowship you have everyone from the fellowship x) Just a thought tho!
