i like the idea of Arnor's banners being red: the Kings of Gondor have white banner (which turns black when the line of Kings failed), Dale's banner is blue, the Elves of Mirkwood have a green banner, and then both Sauron and Saruman have black banners with their own emblems on it (the white hand, the red eye/evil moon of Minas Morgul), Harad's banner is red with a black serpent...so Arnor's is red with the white scepter of Annuminas

The idea was to make a parallel with Gondor versus mordor and Arnor versus Angmar, Gondor is using mainly black and blue for their clothing etc and mordor is using red and black.
Angmar is using blue wee thought then to use red for arthedain, beside that, red is a quite regal colour
