Dead Air's sky and fx textures. Includes three customized weather presets. Very performance friendly.
Seems about right. I AM SO IMMERSED.

UPDATE v1.4
I've tested the textures some more and have been unable to reproduce a problem some players reported about the sun not rendering properly on some weather types. At least, not with the textures in this version of the addon.
I didn't like the replacements I used in v1.3, so this just puts everything back the way it's supposed to look.
Also smacked that bloody TV again. Thing keeps going on the fritz.

UPDATE v1.3
Added config files for two weather types that were missing, which fixes a crash. Also changed some textures that were bugging out for some people. This should hopefully be the final version of this addon.

UPDATE v1.2
I added a weather preset.
- Vanilla sets the weather distance to 1000
- Medium is what was CoP in v1.1, where the distance is reduced by about 20% at the high end
- CoP is the vanilla distances all reduced by 50%
The CoP preset is VERY performance friendly. Potato users rejoice.
New CoP screenshots:
Reminds me of the Siren games.
Red Forest is terrifying, some days. You can't see them on this screenshot, but there's a swarm of rats chillin' just ahead.
These are all the same view distance preset, so max 500. Because all the distances are halved from vanilla, every weather change is very dramatic. When it rains, it pours. (haha haaaa)

UPDATE v1.1
I had to make sure the weather settings wouldn't do anything funny, since Dead Air uses a different weather system where every level has its own set weather conditions. Looks like it's all clear (ha ha haaaa) so I'm adding the weather configuration files to this addon.
I have included two sets of weather presets. One has weather distance settings directly taken from Dead Air. The other has weather distance settings inspired by the CoP/CS Atmosphere addon, because I like that fuzzy dreamy effect the lower vision distance has. It doesn't hurt that the CoP version has much better performance too.
!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!
Does NOT require a new game.
!! END OF NOTICE !!
Installation:
- Extract archive into an empty folder.
- Move or copy the gamedata folder in the "1. Sky and Fx textures" folder to your CotZ folder.
- Move or copy the gamedata folder in either "2. CoP Dead Air weather" or "2. Vanilla Dead Air weather" to your CotZ folder.
- Change your graphics quality preset to something else, hit apply and change it back, hit apply.
- Set your advanced graphics settings again
These last two steps are annoying, but required to set proper lighting values and such in your user.ltx. Speaking of which, Dead Air apparently had no preset settings for gamma, contrast and brightness. You'll have to play around with those yourself after installing this addon to get the image just right. As you can see, I'm still tweaking. If you have any recommendations for these settings, post them in the comments.

V1.0
Oh
I also fixed the TV in the bar
gave it that good ol' whack on the side
you know the one.
It's still a bit shaky though.

Dead Air Sky and Fx
Dead Air emissions are pretty intense. I saw blue for a while afterwards. Maybe don't stare directly at it.
Okay, I'm done milking Dead Air now. :D
For anyone wondering, that gasmask picture on the TV is DoctorX' youtube avatar. My little way of paying my respects. He wasn't in the game anywhere. The man was too humble.
I don't see a difference but considering it doesn't crash my game I'll assume it works and looks great :D
For anyone wondering how to know for sure it's working: emissions should be INCREDIBLY RED after installing this addon. :D
