A new region? Please tell me you're expanding the map, If no then I'm still so damn happy this mod is still being worked on, thank you very much! :))
This is not a new region. The Gobel Tolfalas island region has existed for a long time but I just created a new campaign model for it which matches the new battlemap Arkay made for it.
As a side note, we will never be able to expand the map because the game doesn't allow adding on to existing land so we'd have to re-create the map from scratch which isn't worthwhile. However, what we can still do is move regions around by removing and existing one to make a new one.
Anyway, glad you're excited!
Thank you so much for replying sorry I don't know too much about modding.I've played this mod over 250 hours and NEVER seen that region, lol. I want to ask you since you do know, how does Europa Barbarorum 2 mod takes the small original map of Medieval II and expands it by so much more? Just Wondering.
No problem, I didn't expect you to know so that's why I wanted to explain the situation to you.
As far as Europa Barbarorum 2 is concerned, they did the same this as DaC, they created a new map from scratch which is set to the largest size possible. Once the map size is set, it cannot be changed.
Ah okay, thanks! Have a great day and good luck with the new version!
There is a mod called Blood of Numenor, this mod expand the map pretty far ;)
Yes, that map has more landmass but it's still using the same dimensions as DaC and they also still have to use the same 200 max provinces limit as DaC (these limits are true for all mods).
