As much as I know Revision and GMDX is not compatible. A pity :(
The GMDX dev said install his mod first, then copy Revision over his, and you'd have to go to his page to ask him what files you change from that as well. It's mostly map changes. Maybe he meant this for New Vision, since Revision isn't out yet :) I'll ask when it's out.
Revision and GMDX are not compatible- the way the two are built means that you could sort-of get the Revision maps with GMDX gameplay and systems, but it would require a lot of work to pull our stuff out. Not worth the hassle.

I think it would be worth waiting for me to finish GMDX, and then play it before deciding it isn't worth the hassle, much as I have been waiting for the same with Revision before I decide whether or not it is worth my time.
What? No player should ever have to go open up and go through maps, packages, .ini and .u files to make things fit together- and then have a clunky, half-baked result that is missing functionality or content because the two things were never designed to work together.
Huh? That's why we'd ideally discuss doing that for them, by actually making them compatible. The "hassle" you mentioned.
Indeed they were not initially designed to work together, but neither were any of the mods you have bundled with Revision.
