Maintains the general plot of Invisible War, but tries to make the transition between it and Deus Ex a bit more coherent than the original. The story will be completely different, iow, but the essential plot will be the end goal (basically the endings will be similar), and Chad Dumier does not turn into a despotic ruler, etc.
I'm a solo struggling un and underemployed college graduate, and it would be a dream if I could focus on this mod, so please donate if you have the interest and ability! The sooner I finish this, the sooner we can topple (what I believe to exist) an actual global conspiracy!:
Credit should be given to individuals involved in TNM (The Nameless Mod), as they have shared in resources and editing knowledge. As well as other mods from which their mod benefited, such as Carone. Credit should also be given to the varying pantheon of gods of the DX modding community like Ded of 2027, etc., and especially the lovely Veronika who created the DX-compatible Ued2 editor. Credit should also be given to the developers of both DX and DX:IW. Rene' of Eidos Montreal has given such mods a 'go ahead':
"This is completely okay! If you're using unique assets and will not try to sell it commercially, there's no problem!"
After eight years of being lost, the mod, Invisible War Revised, has been found thanks to the project leader of Deus Ex Reborn (who thankfully still had it on their hard drive) and I! Thanks to Defaultplayer001 of the DXArchive project, Hawkbird, Hanfling, and others in the community, the mod has been made fully playable, voice acting has been re-activated, and many map issues have been fixed.
Invisible War Revised is a re-imagining of the Deus Ex sequel, Invisible War, being more grounded, linear, but having some rather questionable moments. We have added a warning for these dialogue moments. Being unfinished, you may find holes in the map or characters with no dialogue. The mod has almost no combat, instead opting for a more laidback playstyle. It had a copyright-ridden soundtrack, full of ironically fantastic pop songs; I have uploaded a new soundtrack from Invisible War to avoid any copyright issues. This mod is fully voiced by one person! Over 2000 lines of dialogue!
If you don't know what happened to the original mod creator, read this page, be in mind that it may be disturbing to some. Do not donate to the paypal link in the mod summary, as the funds will not be used.
If you want to play the very original version of the mod, or want to play with the original soundtrack, OR just want to see any updates on the mod, Join the DXHQ discord, and visit the deus-ex-archive channel!
Defaultplayer001 and I will continue to work on improving and adding to this mod, as we see it as a very special experience.
Invisible War Revised has been released! Follow the install instructions in order to play!

I do hope this doesn't die ,it sounds fantastic.
I really wish I could offer more than moral support and a few suggestions, and most of the suggestions have already been covered in threads on Steam community, on Reddit and the Deus Ex community boards. The ME2 comtinuation idea was quite good, that's all I can say.
So you're remaking DX2... in the DX1 engine?! Doesn't make sense. Why don't you use a less ugly engine?
He is: using Dx1 engine instead of Dx2 engine IS using a less ugly engine. =)
