After completion of the SOL Knossos gate the GTVA sends a small recon fleet to investigate. Upon exiting subspace they realize nothing is familiar. With no way to return they begin to colonize. The native factions, TEC, Advent and Vasari take notice of the intrusion and some believe they should be removed. The GTVA was not prepared for this eventuality and sent older Great War era vessels, and in order to survive they must scramble to construct the more advanced vessels from home. However a old foe may be lurking in the shadows.
Small patrol with some standard ships.
The heart of the Great War Vasudan navy, the Typhon focuses more on fighters than its peers. It bares more anti-fighter weapons and carries more than the Orion (30 wings vs 24 wings). This, however is at the cost of anti-capital ship weaponry. It leans more towards being a carrier than a frontline warship.
In FS1, it mounted 9 blob turrets and 6 anti-fighter missiles. By the events of FS2, it has specialized even further towards anti-fighter weaponry. The updated Typhon only has 2 blobs and 2 large Vasudan anti-cap beams, but the 11 remaining weapons are now anti-fighter missiles, beams, and flak.
