DoaNE (Dawn of a New Era) is a mod for the game "Civilization IV / Colonization" (2008) which aims to significantly improve the original game that was a pale copy of the 1994 release. Always inspired by the historical line of American colonization, we are implementing our changes gradually, to make this game a reference in the field. All aspects are reviewed, modified or enriched to radically transform the game but without betraying the spirit of conquest and colonization wanted and liked by the players, while providing a comfort of game to make it enjoyable and flexible in multi-players mode. New versions of DoaNE come out regularly and always give the desire to rediscover the game

on Doane ver 6, i'm getting the crash when the king gives me an escort ship. solution was to sell the escort Before You Use It, and then open world builder and add an escort. no problem with crash after this change.
Arsenal and Magazine builidings keeps producing swords instead of guns even on Era 3, i am missing something?
There are two icons in the lower right corner of the city map (where the wall is located). The left icon is for the armory/magazine/arsenal and allows you to decide the production. You will have to click the part of the icon that is not covered by the wall protection (bottom edge). For some reason it is under the wall. The Hospital icon behaves the same way.
When i try to load the mod in-game, I get a bunch of xml loading issues, which results in the game showing "TXT_KEY...." messages, any advice on how to fix this? (I'm using the steam version)
I have just bought the game on Steam (20 €) in order to reproduce your issue. I don't have the problem. Follow all instructions I have added in this post. Forums.civfanatics.com and you will be able to play without any issue.
Weird, I've installed it in the right folder and everything. Will try reinstalling the game and then the mod to see if that works, thanks for the reply.

Done a complete re-install, Same XML loading errors. It only applies to the XML files in the text folder. I will try if a previous version of this mod works, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like I'm going to be able to play this.

You you give me some information like:
- your OS
- your display language
- The exact message you have in the error
The I would like you update this file:
C:\Users\{YourUserName}\Documents\My Games\Civilization IV Colonization\CivilizationIV.ini
LoggingEnabled = 1
MessageLog = 1
Those two values may be set to 0.
Launch the mod.
Then copy all files of this folder and send it to me.
- All the files inside C:\Users\{YourUserName}\Documents\My Games\Civilization IV Colonization\Logs
It is a lot of things, but I need information to fix your issue.
I get a crash to desktop when I try to start a game. This crash appears on the select a leader screen.
I have two computers, one laptop and one desktop. This only affects the desktop for some reason and I have reinstalled the base steam version of the game game twice on my desktop.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I never faced your issue before. That's strange...
However, I never tried the steam version. It is may be related.
If by chance, you have the ISO file of colonization, you could install it, the install the official patch and finally install DoaNE to see if it is working.
