Dark Interval is a restoration/revision mod that lets you play Half-Life 2 as it could have been. Using Valve's early concepts, we're creating new maps, models, textures, and custom dialogue. The mod is released in episodes, the most recent being Dark Interval: Part I - an intro chapter to the bigger story.
ZIP archive contaning Dark Interval: Chapter I. Unpack in Steam\Steamapps\Sourcemods, download/install Source SDK Base 2013 Singpleplayer in Steam>My Library>Tools, make sure to enable "-upcoming" beta option for it, then restart Steam.
Holy **** it's available! Thanks man! I'm downloading right now!
**** yeah
I know you.
I know him too.
I'm hoping to see what has been added since that early access copy you gave me!
Good luck with Chapter II,
Bun.
yeah, good job man !!! :)
Looks interesting, I'll go ahead and try it out.
Jesus christ, this was amazing. Please keep it up. I had a few errors in the bonus chapter though, such as missing textures. And half of the level dissapering near the mid-section, and then re-appearing when you step in it. But the previous side gone now. Some of the text on screen didn't display, it said #DarkInterval_Bonus_Chapter, or #DarkInterval_Barney_TerminalBrief_04. Hoping to see more of the arcade in future versions, maybe even some more beta weapons. Or NPCS like the cremator, combot, and beta metrocop. Or even some of the child workers. Great mod guys, the best this year by far. Keep up this good work please.
Whoops, this is what happens when you get to manage a two-language version. Didn't notice a tiny mistake in the script file. Can you get a screenshot of the broken dialogue caption though? It should be working correctly.
edit
Nvm, found it.
I'm gonna compile a patch when I accumulate more reports but for now this is an extra-quick one-file patch to address the missing captions:

Put it in darkinterval\resource, overwrite the existing one.
Do to the recant emails of marc laidlaw debunking some of the stuff from raising the bar like the antlion king and vorti-cells while mentioning another development idea of airex being a facility that was ment to suck the atmosphere with to a portal to generate power for other dimensions. Anyway I have a bucket list of emails if you want to know more about them. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hgf21vfyihj4q5w/AAAIhpwzZ4eippsMN7jGjmo5a?dl=0
go to a forum about half life 2 beta emails from Marc Laidlaw and spew out whatever you want there. What you are talking about has nothing to do with the mod.
I swear to ******* god Dindex...
Well, for one, with the mod I'm building a custom story, so I don't feel obliged to use all that intended material. Vorti-cells did exist as a concept no matter how temporal or draft-like, so even if they never made it to being put on maps, I then go further and do put them on my maps. Airex being a power station for other worlds is deginetely more interesting of a background\role for the complex as opposed to it being merely an Earty-type factory (which it is when we look at the existing levels).
That was pretty cool, gotta say it was impressive. The atmosphere was perfect, and the level design simply beautiful in many areas. Though, I do have a few, albeit minor complaints. In some areas there were holes in the geometry (noclip) that were very easy to see, or even to reach. At some points the lighting was very dark, though it may be my brightness settings, so that probably was just me. Some of the fights felt a little bit to soon for it, but otherwise it was good. I also felt that the 2nd chapter map had a bit more in terms of atmosphere, I think it was because of the fog, but I'm not sure. Another thing that was strange was the transitions, in which the screen fades out, which is a bit disorienting at some times, but for the most part it worked well.
Overall, thought that was a excellent demo, and anticipate future updates as well, nicely done.
I have a problem, the game crash after the loading of the title screen.
Make sure Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer (located it in Steam>My Library>Tools) has the "-upcoming" beta option enabled. Necessary for the mod to work, causes crashes otherwise.
thank you now it work.
Hey, this fix didn't work for me. Anything else that I need to do prerequisite wise?
Looks Good
Hey DID Team, thank you so much for sharing this amazing work! I can't wait to try it.
But I could use your help to install it.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04. I don't have a "Sourcemods" folder, instead I have a "common" folder. That's where my L4D2, and the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer folders are.
So I figured that's where the darkinterval folder should go too.
I ran the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, but didn't show any options to load your game.
Can you also explain exactly where to enable "-upcoming"?
This is where I went to find it:
Sites.google.com
Thanks a bunch in advance guys :)

You need to make a Sourcemods folder. That's where Steam pulls sourcemods from.
Right click SDK 2013 SP and go to properties. Click on launch options and type in -upcoming.
742.99mb is Demo or full version?!
Its Part 1

Hey!
I want to voice a character from your mod, are there any replicas for voice ?
Sorry of my bad English (((
Still doesn't work even after I put the "Upcoming" option.
I downloaded the SDK base and got the beta but it kicks me out saying, Engine Error: Could not load library client. Try restarting. If that doesn't work, verify the cache. Do you have to play this on PC because I'm on a mac.
Mac is not supported, we have no means to compile code for it
