Dark City 17(formally Dark City 101) is a Half-life 2 mod pointed to recreating the original HL2 city 17 chapters and putting them in order start to finish. The mod will be using the existing World Craft Map pack and extreme fixes to the maps. A lot of the beta guns and enemies will return but some will be left out do to difficult coding (so i am using reskined tentacle from HL:s in place of the hydra). The mod will be a mix of all the city 17 concepts from 1999-2002 which is when city 17 went through about 3 stages being the American City, New City, and City 17 as finally called. The first demo map is available below. The demo map can be found here:
I am using stuff from the beta, not stuff from any other mods.

Valve doesn't really care about that anymore i read
Where did you read that Valve doesn't care about the leak anymore, the same thing that could have cost them their jobs. Post me one link were a member from Valve says "Valve doesn't care about the leak anymore."

Although Valve has never made any official statement about how the leaked files should be considered and used by the community, no actions have been taken against websites or people using and hosting leak-related content, and Valve sanctioned websites such as Garry's Mod host many leak related material and discussing it is not forbidden on the website's Facepunch Studios forums (which was forbidden in the past). The general consensus would then be that Valve is not preoccupied anymore by the use of these leaked files and their use and distribution is not forbidden although not blessed, as long as they are used for free.

I say very good job because even if not all of it is his work, are you doing it? How can you be sure he isn’t getting it from the beta? Or people who say he can do it (people on garry’s mod.org)? I know, it takes a lot of work to put together stuff like that, but still he is working on it and I for one want to see it. Keep it up.
