Models seems like was exported without smoothing?

Late reply, but no.All models are properly smoothed.
You are most likely talking about the GK.
This is just their reflection layer. It stays,as it was decided by the team.

Guys I cannot stress this enough, but after the arrival of brother Kekoulis, ALL our mods are on fire! Wait and see the Witch Hunters, and of course the uber Ultramarines.
All new content is HIS doing !

And of course... Emperor's Children!! This is HIS child, at 99% :)

Thanks for being so skilful and decent and always-delivering, man. Really.

Oh my! You guys are pumping them mods out like daily! Kekoulis truly has ascended.

But what if there's a mysterious shrouded entity pulling the strings in the background and Kekoulis was just the beginning...

Brother JL, there are many new units and models (courtesy of brother Kekoulis!), as well as many new psychic powers for the Termi Librarian, and of course the Grey Knights branch is now finished :)
... I am SURE you will find useful bits (or whatever) in the IDH 3.5 build, for your OUTSTANDING Darkness Within Campaign!!!

Please fix the GK strike team and Justicar's model. I think they are weirdly small and skinny compare to the original GK model. ఠ ͟ಠ

Ehm,no.
They are the ORIGINAL GK model and a long time asset of the IDH.They are perfect as is.

Uhhh then, at least match their size with other units?

They look so weirdly small! щ(ºДºщ)

I think their height and size is very close!!
As brother Kek said, we CANNOT change the original models.
... Not to mention that the two model "types" do not co-exist.
The IDH branch has the one type, the GK the other.

Funny, I was under the impression that I had shorted that out.
And in your image, they DO seem of roughly equal size - JUST as I remember it.

But I can check again... :)

Anyone else having the same impression?

Umm. . . I'm confused. Am I looking at the same GK strike team and Justicar models with you guys?

They do not only look so different kind, but also clearly smaller and skinnier than other GK models such as Interceptors, Purgators, and Purifiers. I do not intend to insult the effort but hope it gets a little more harmonious looking.

Well first, the models were designed by different 3D artists, AND were based upon different GW TT model versions of GKs.
That is the reason of the differences.
But to me, they still DO NOT look THAT different, so that to notice it, brother AcePilot1.

Second, and let me repeat that, the two types of models DO NOT co-exist in the same army, so this "difference" gets a bit less relevant/noticeable.

That being said, the only thing we are willing to change is the lua size of the model (it is simply a size factor, so 1.0 means the model at its original size, while 1.2 means that the model gets 20% bigger).
But remember, the size also changes in height, so we do not the models to be TALLER!!!
With this in mind, I personally chose that lua factor.
Honestly, judging from your images, it is clear to me that they are now VERY close, I do not clearly see the difference you have spotted.
What you suggest is that I could make it a bit bigger, but eventually, the old models looked taller than the new. And that was also ugly.

But since you insist, I will look into this again - it is ONE model after all (yeah, and their Justicar), so I guess a 0.05 increase would be the middle ground :)

I'm sorry for being disturbing (ఠ_ఠ;) and thank you for your attention.

But, I still think Justicar and Strike squad's model should be updated(not only textures).

I was wondering if this was meant to be that the IDH branch gets 3 builders while the GK branch only gets two?

So this was indeed intentional, brother TheWarrior86.

Sorry brother MisterMoo15, but at this point there are no plans on updating the original IDH models. More to this, we do not want to alter the work of the original coders, it would be improper.

the inquisiton branch of the daemon hunters are too underpowered. All the researches should only be in the librarium. It is very hard to upgrade if all the upgrades are spread out. The research for advanced weaponry one power cost should only be 60 or 70 instead of 100 and advanced weaponry two should be 125 instead of 175 the faction is too power starved early to afford it and cannot put up a fight against light vehicles since stormtroopers are very weak. A tier 2 light vehicle spam can decimate them early.

Well, that branch is as the original designers had created it...
We only made fixes and additions, but we wanted to keep it it just as the team that created the mod had conceived it the first place.

But I will consider your suggestions brother :)

the grey knights strike team of the inquisition side should spawn with six models they are very hard to preserve because of the meat grinder of tier 2 a little increase in squad cost is ok but keep the model cost

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

You mean with 6 STARTING models? Or with 6 MAXIMUM models, brother mrjuanit010? (Because they start with a max of 4, that doubles afterwards.)

Reply Good karma+2 votes
mrjuanit010
mrjuanit010 - - 70 comments

the strike team should start with six and keep the final max model count since the stormtroopers are very weak for frontline and the exterminatus building should only require 1 inquisitor tower and the inquisitor lord and can be spammed in any contol area without building another inquisitor tower since it is the only thing maintaining the frontline until the dreadnoughts can be built and it wont be op since the resources will be split for exterminatus and units and the ability has cooldown and exterminatus spam is an inquisition trademark

So you are saying, +2 members start, and they get +2 more (instead of +4) after the Tier.
NP with that, but the previous designers made the 4+4 decision based on tier balance...

But I like it.

The Domus Astra building MUST follow the 1 per 1 HQ design brother, this cannot be changed.
The reason is not the resources, but the bonus each new Building confers - in both branches!
The idea is to use the orbital abilities DEFENSIVELY AT FIRST, and have the chance to use them at longer ranges, AT LATER TIERS.

i played inquisition branch against witchhunters and after tier2 i cannot gain ground and my early rush is always curb stomped until i am holed up in my base. the main strategy of the inquisition branch is soft counter to all units which did not work and vehicle spam ate at my power so it is hard to tech up and early spam of purification seal dont even slow them down and before i know it they made the outside of my base a forward base camp. even the dreadnoughts cant push them at that time because of anti vehicle weapons.

i am not asking on nerfing the witchhunters its just i am asking for a buff for the inquisition branch. even the grey knights can counter the witchhunters even without anti vehicle weapons at early tiers because of their mobility which would break their battle formations.i think the best would be giving the strike team anti vehicle melee weapons as deterrent for vehicles at tier 2 since the idea of inquisition branch is jack of all trades. as an assault unit i think this will give a pushing power. even stormtrooper spam cannot counter even with melta bombs.

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

Well, I think the +2 starting members you proposed for the Strike Team is enough for this... Adding AntiVehicle weapons to the IDH branch requires model and design changes, and we would like to keep the design on par with the initial creators. inception :)

Remember, the strike teams are bigger in numbers compared to the GK branch! So in total, they will be much more effective - and the +2 members will do just fine.
As for Storm Troopers, their 4 melta guns + Melta Bombs are OK for AV, I think!
