Hi, I'd like to add an idea for the time period for this mod: set it in the early 1970s, when the Warsaw Pact nations were in their peak and the NATO nations and those under the sphere of influence were starting to experiment econimic and social crises. In response to the communist bloc's expansion through the world, NATO starts doing military exercises to send a message to the Warsaw Pact, who they saw this as the prelude to a full scale invasion and decided to invade first, thus heating the cold war and starting WW3.

If you do switch it to the 1960s, it might be worthwhile to develop it as a submod of Operation Remembrance. Once V1.2 comes out, and then V1.3, you'll have almost all of the Soviet and American weapons you could want for it, and a lot of the vehicles too, and don't have to develop them yourself.
