CnC: Final War is a semi-total conversion for Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge that retells the Second Great War between Allied forces located mostly in Europe and the massive Soviet Empire, that has expanded well across the eastern continent.

The Legion Swarm Hive Mine Layer is an advanced tech unit unlocked after constructing the Battle Lab. A support unit, the Swarm Hive is equipped with a powerful production core capable of creating mines based on pre-loaded materials. When activated, the Swarm Hive's production core can be fired to deploy nine Hive Mines. These potent mines can be controlled by the players, allowing them position and charge in before detonating. These mines are built with a specialized alloy that gives them protection from their own damage, but cannot stop the mines from detonating from premature destruction. These mines have timers attached to them, after which they'll destroy themselves after a short time period.

Is that the replacement for the Mastermind unit?
It is. But the Mastermind now hides away in the Secret Lab, so it's not gone forever. :)
Just like the Magnetron unit which is also a secret lab unit.
I feel like this unit is micro intensive since you need to deploy it first to get a squad of suicide drones which you will then have to manually give them orders within their short lifespan. Unless of course it can automatically deploy the drones when enemies come within range and the drones can chase after their targets themselves.
Basically a Troop Crawler that sends out Terrorists instead of Red Guards.
Fortunately, the only deploy mechanic used is to disable/enable the automatic firing of the weapon that generates the mines when enemies are within range. The Swarm Hive has a secondary set of features that help determine the status of the weapon, as the turret will spin and the vehicle will slow considerably. The mines can also be micro'd for greater effect, but default to a high guard range and thus will seek out enemies as soon as they're spawned.
But yeah, Troop Crawler with Terrorists spiced with Cabal flavor.
