Just like Kane's Vision, this mod aims to perfect the gameplay experience of Kane's Wrath. With countless new faction unique upgrades and units, this is a comprehensive overhaul of this already great game. Every change that was introduced in this mod was with quality gameplay in mind and do justice to the lore of the factions. Furthermoe, One Vision is keen on maintaining the game's high visual level and improve upon it wherever possible.
Sandstorms are swift, agile, multi-purpose hovercraft that excel in shooting down aircraft. While more expensive than Slingshots, they are fully capable of attacking ground targets and their sensors are perfect for hunting stealthed units or exerting map control.
Sandstorms act as mobile counterpart to the otherwise slow arsenal of the Talons. In conjunction with reworked Hammerheads, we want to allow players to be aggressive and not just wait for the lategame to assemble a superior force.
However, the Sandstorm is only one puzzle piece in the ongoing transformation of Steel Talons and several new units will be presented soon.
Will the Sandstorms have a ability? Like having a short jump boost to escape or get over obstacles/chasm?
Not at the moment, no. I am contemplating giving the Sandstorm different firing modes for burst/Continuous fire. It is a fairly fast unit and I'm not sure I want to add additional movement mechanics.
Jump Boosts also have the issue of stacking the units together when you order multiple ones to jump to the same destination. However, I do _like_ the idea of short jump boosts, maybe I'll add it as an upgrade in the future.
Burst and continues firing modes does seem a bit hard to balance it kinda reminds me of that one mod called firestorm (the missile defense) but has a lock on time before it continuesly fire its missiles.
I do have another idea tho, like making the missiles AOE against air targets like make the missile have exploding shrapnel animation to show the range of the AOE anti air and for the ground purpose missiles just make it default burst attacks.
The thing is that burst fire is better if you have few Sandstorms, but they lead to overkill once you have too many of them at once. Right now they shoot continuously to avoid overkill, particularly against PAC drones.

As for the Sandstorm, it is the same as the Slingshot and can't traverse water.
