C&C 3 Original Campaign Balance Patch

The campaign is extremely difficult, though not impossible, in patch 1.09. I have completed it on Normal with great difficulty, but on Hard some of the missions were just too grueling to be fun. I think it’s mostly due to the way patch 1.09 nerfed the economy. A harvester filled with tib pre-1.09 was worth 2400 credits (Blue tib 4800) whereas on the latest patch it is worth 1400 and 2800 respectively. The changes were meant to be multiplayer only, but had the unintended side effect of screwing with the campaign. This mod restores the economy to its original state and also gives the Crane the ability to produce defenses again (This also helps with the bonus objective in the Nod Washington D.C. mission).
NOTE: This mod is for the base game, not Kane's Wrath. The expansion does not suffer from this problem.
INSTALLATION:
Retail / Steam

Create a shortcut to CNC3, or find your existing game shortcut. Right-click and in the context menu choose 'Properties'. In the 'Target' field append '-ui' to the end of the existing path text.
Alternatively, in Steam, find CNC3, right-click and select 'Properties'. Enter '-ui' in the 'Launch Options' textbox.

Unzip the contents of the zip to "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods". If the folder(s) does not exist, create it.

Launch Tiberium Wars. A second launcher should pop up instead of the game. Choose Game Browser and navigate to the Mods tab. Select the mod and launch the game!

EA App
IMPORTANT: EA royally screwed the mod menu in the new EA app, but the following less optimal procedure should work.
- Download and run the CNC3 Mod Installer (Direct link). It may take a minute for the program to load. After verifying the program has opened, close it.
- Unzip the contents of the zip to "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\CNC Mods\Tiberium Wars". If the folder(s) does not exist, create it.
- Launch the CNC3 Mod Installer. Select 'Tiberium Wars', highlight 'CNC3 Original' and click Play Mod. The mod will now be activated. You may continue to use this launcher or the original game shortcut to play CNC3.

This is manual how to install this mod on EA app version of the game without using CNC3 Mod installer which does not work for me anyway

Download fixed launcher from Bibber.eu
And instal it will fix the CAC 3 TB and KW launcher (shortcut of the game on the desktop Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath )
On fixed launcher right click properties and in the target add -ui on the end of the target "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer 3 TW and KW\CNC3Launcher.exe" -ui
Once done when opened we have a choice to launch TB or KW but it will not straight launch the game but You have the possibility option menu where is Game Browser tab

-Open a Windows file browser window, type (or paste) "%USERPROFILE%\Documents\" in the address bar (again, without the quotes), and press [Enter] to go there.
-If there is no folder called "Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars"
in there, create it. (It will be probably missing just as in my case)
It has to be in this format the name of the file there has to be and u can not use & symbol it will not work if you name the file with & "Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars" it will not work for EA version it will not shown on the MODS in the game versions
-Inside that folder, create a folder call Mods, Replays and Screenshots
3/Put mod filles in Documents\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Mods
Open Launcher - choose Game Browser - Mods - CNC3Original

On Windows 11 the path is different now.

Yes, this is only if you use OneDrive, if you don't use OneDrive then it's the old path.

When using the ea app, I have managed to install the launcher and I can select the mod but if I select play with mod the game doesn’t launch, can I launch the game from the ea app and the mod still work?
This is my first time modding and having a hard time.

I have had same problem I was not able to launch the game using mod launcher.
please see my post above where i have described procces of how to get this mode working without using mod launcher on EA version of the game
That explains why I run out of tiberium so quickly and have to drive the harvesters away and wait to grows back.

Sadly, this doesn't seem to work with the EA launcher version (Origins replacement). Can't get the fixed launcher to give the mods option, it just loads straight into the game.
Updated the instructions for use with the new EA app.
Sadly it isn't working for me. Mod installer detects the mod, but when I click "Play Mod" it disappears, and the game never launches.
It works! I had to put the mod installer into the mod folder iteself after the game installed, otherwise the file errored out...but it works! I verified when watching the tiberium amount added per harvester trip. Thank you so much good sir, the campaign is now much better (still challenging, but not as frustrating).
In response; I went to test it but the C&C3; mod installer program you linked doesn't seem to work. It just gives "Failed to execute script C&C3; Mod Installer" over and over. Oh well, thanks for trying.
EDIT: Seems if I put the mod installer into the mod folder and then execute it, it finds the program.
