Just showing a few GDI Steel Talon units :)
A Mammoth able to fire its railguns, missiles, and vulcan at a single target? OpenRA really is the future. :P
It has 10 weapon offsets set, 2 for MG (because well it's a twin barreled one), 4 for Railguns and 4 for Missiles.
Still haven't shown anything yet with multiple turrets ;)

There has been done quite some progress for Nod.
Unit whise we have:
Gorran IFV (Industry Attack Buggy replacement)
Banshee MK.II (Technology replacement for the MK.I)
Venom (can get lasers)
Shadow Troopers (can get EMP bullets and permanent stealth)
Nod Montauk (Industrial ideology exclusive epic)
Sting of Nod (Propaganda ideology exclusive epic)
Fist of Nod (Technology exclusive epic)
Specter Artillery (can get stealth and different warheads depending on ideology)
Rocketeer (can get laser guns as upgrade)
Nod Harvester (can get stealth and/or subterrain upgrade)
Nod Fanatic (Propaganda exclusive unit)
Voice of Nod (Propaganda exclusive unit)
Confessor (Propaganda replacement for Elite Cadre)
Elite Cadre (possible stealth upgrade)
Just to name a few additions - those are not all ofc.
Well the possible combinations are very scary. Choosing Technology + Propaganda would allow you to build 50% cheaper Rocketeers with laser weapons. Another example would be a subterranean Harvester which is also stealthed by combining Technology + Industry.
TL:DR each faction gets some cool and unique methods to customize and combine it like you prefer.

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! So the Steel Talon is now in for the GDI or they are some kind of sub faction?
Well there are 4 "systems" available.
GDI has the Sub-Faction System. You can choose between:
Global Defense Force (GDF)
Steel Talons (ST)
Zone Command (ZC)
Nod can choose 2 out of 3 "Ideologies". Combining two ideologies can create very scary combinations.
Technology
Industry
Propaganda
Cabal has the "Research-System". Basically allows you to customize via several pick one out of two upgrades.
Forgotten has the "Warlord-System" which in simple terms allows you to design your own clan - because you can choose from different units of a bigger pool.
NOTE: All those things are not preselected! Those will be selected while in a going match and not in the lobby!
